February 1, 20188 yr Hello, I fly the PMDG 737 and today i bought the Navigraph subscription. I installed the Navigraph FMS Data Manager but it did not work so i decided to download 1802 manually. I followed the setup instructions, then went to the IDENT page on the FMC but it still says my old 1108 AIRAC cycle. How to fix that? Thank you
February 1, 20188 yr I would try and figure out why the FMS Data Manager didn't work, that seems to be the best way to update each cycle. What was the error that the data manager had?

Thank you When you purchase a subscription to Navigraph, you will download ONLY the Navigraph FMS Data Manager. To get the latest cycle, you double-click on the FMS Data Manager and it will take you to the site. There, you can click on Scan and it will scan your computer to see what programs you have installed that needs an updated AIRAC. Once identified, just click on update and the FMS Manager will automatically update your old AIRAC and place the new AIRAC in the proper folders. You do nothing. Just sit back and watch and drink a coke. When completed, you start up PMDG 737 and you will see the AIRAC has been updated. If you try to do it manually, you will fail (unless you know what you are doing and, respectfully, it does not appear to me, right now, you know what you are doing). I have did it manually because my FMS Data Manager does not open for some reason. It now says 1802 in my FMC. The Charts also do not work.
February 2, 20188 yr If the FMS Data Manager does not open, then there is nothing we can do to help. You will need to go to the Data Manager website and find out why their product is not working for you. It appears though that you did install the navdata properly if 1802 is showing up. Hopefully you can figure out how to get the charts to work. I do not use charts so cannot help you. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! Do you know why?
February 2, 20188 yr Most likely because it is not installed correctly. In the PMDG folder there should be two folders - PMDG\NavData and PMDG\SIDSTARS. NavData folder has the info that tells the FMC what version is installed. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! I believe you can get this message if you load a saved flight that is not within the date range of the Airac - not sure though. But be sure and check the two folders Jim suggested, in FSX/PMDG: Navdata and SidStars. if you click on any file in the folders it will open in Notepad -- it should have the date and Airac cycle at the beginning. Be sure not to save the file you open! Mike
February 2, 20188 yr Yes I have those. NAVDATA folder has like 8 or something files and SIDSTARS has all ICAO codes txt. files. But if it says NAV DATA OUT OF DATE does that mean that I still have the 1108 or do o have the 1802 although it says 1802?
February 2, 20188 yr I don't have a PMDG aircraft, but doesn't the first page of the FMC display the cycle date for the data being used? If not first page then perhaps Index page? I know that the FMCs on most, if not all of my non PMDG aircraft do.

In this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\NavData is a file named cycle_info.txt. Open it with Notepad and read it - the cycle number is at the top. Also, check the date and time set on your computer or in FS. Having that set wrong is the cause of many "...out of date" messages. DJ

February 3, 20188 yr 43 minutes ago, Oleg321 said: Is the FS the taskbar? Just look in the FSX/PMDG/Navdata folder which you already found. Find cycle_info.txt and click on it. it will open in Notepad. Just read what it says at or near the text. Mike
February 3, 20188 yr 8 hours ago, Oleg321 said: Is the FS the taskbar? FS is flight simulator itself. Every flight has a date and a time that can be set within the program - if that date and time is too far ahead or behind the date of your AIRAC cycle you will get the "...out of date message. You are already being assisted with your problem over on the Navigraph forum and there is no need to continue this thread. DJ
