February 14, 20188 yr Hi all, Just reinstalled P3D etc, etc. Probably an embarrassing query, but how do I check that ORBX scenery (Base, Open LC Europe, VECTOR and HD Trees) is the actual live scenery in use in P3Dv4.1? The obvious answer to my own question is to open P3D and look, however, I get the impression that only the HD trees are loaded. I do not believe that the rest is and I want to be sure, because if it is, something isn't right! I've had far better scenery before and most of my settings are high/ultra. Thanks! Max. Just open FTX Central, it notes the ones not installed. edit you can also check in the Scenery Library.

February 14, 20188 yr There is a pinned post in Orbx forums (I think it was in the support forums which you can sign up with your order number), showing different images of ORBX products installed and not installed. You can check it from there. Ahmet Can

February 14, 20188 yr Did you reinstall or update? Since FTX Global installs its textures straight into P3D I can imagine a reinstall but even a content update may overwrite those FTX Global textures...

No, Content did not overwrite Orbx or anything else from what I saw last night. Once you have v4.2 installed just open up Orbx Center after a min close all done. David Murden. February 14, 20188 yr Once you have v4.2 installed just open up Orbx Center after a min close all done. Are you saying that when you open the Orbx Center you need to minimize it to work or do you open it for a minute then close it for it to work. If the answer is open it for a minute then close it for it to work. Do you need to do that before every flight?

When I opened v.4.2 for the first time I could see I had no trees. Closed P3D opened Orbx center so it could "see" I had updated it did a spinning wheel thing a few seconds. Check to see everything was active/installed up to date, closed it. Open P3D all back to normal. You just open it once let it do its thing close it, forget about it. David Murden. February 14, 20188 yr " You just open it once let it do its thing close it, forget about it. " Thanks for clarifying.
February 14, 20188 yr FTXG is so much better than default, I notice the difference immediately. I use the light tweaker to change the size of the lights. I check it after I add or remove sceneries with FTX Central. I know right away because the 3d lights get bigger or smaller. MSFS
