Socata TBM-700

Featured Replies

I downloaded tbm700_a.zip and installed it. Am I supposed to get a 2D cockpit? It's just blank and I can't see why. There are pics of a 2D cockpit in the pdf manual, but I don't even get the basic backgroundbmp showing.Anyone know what is wrong? I am preparing to kick myself as I write this.Martin

Forget this - I am not getting ANY 2D cockpits for any aircraft all of a sudden. Will try to sort things out - if I don't post back you'll know I suceeded..M.

There is definitely a problem with this plane, at least in my setup. If I cycle through the cockpit views, with 'W', when I get back to the 2D cockpit again I just get a black screen, even though it showed OK on loading. This also seems to make all other a/c lose their 2D cockpit views until I come out of FS and start again.Well for now I've uninstalled the TBM700. Has anyone else had anything like this?M.

I just had the same problem with the SGA DC-9. I realized I had hit the 'cap lock' by mistake.Perhaps check that..

That sounded likely - especially as I noticed I'd had the Caps Lock on when I finished what I was doing, editing flight plans and so on. So I 'reinstalled' the Socata (I'd just moved the folder out of Aircraft temporarily so that was no big job!!!) and then tried scrolling through the cockpit views again. Now I have no problems whether Cap Lock is on or off! The 2D panel shows fine every time. So what on earth was going on an hour ago?!I give up! Thanks for the reply.Martin :-)

I'll let you know if anything wierd happens as I am downloading it now.I'm ... errr... glad you had trouble.... i did not know about this plane :)

Nice model for sure!. Tad hard to trim out... tad sensitive... but that long nose is sexy. Carves the sky like a racer she does.

Nada. Zilch. No update released... What a shame!

I've been patiently waiting for the update to get issued as a release. The TBM700 remains one of my favorite aircraft I have ever flown in real life. I'm sure Fr. Bill's contribution would make the sim version even more enjoyable. Hopefully someone from the development will take notice that there are plenty of fans that would love to see the update released.Zane
