If you can't help that habit, at least use a somewhat accurate legal term like "transpassing".When people state: "FS is the same as real flying" it gives me similar chuckles as well.Jason

"At the risk of sounding rude, thank you for your input but unless you are Mr Allensworth incognito, it isn't what I'm looking for. I am fully aware of the general concepts involving general forum protocols and would like to hear from Tom himself."Since you took to the public forum your discussion AND your challenge to Tom to come up with a clearer answer, you will hear from others as well as Tom. If you are concerned about Tom stifling your post on FSGS, you should provide equal courtesy and concern to others who share their opinions in this thread. Beyond that, I won't share any opinion as I didn't see your post. -John

My answer earlier was pretty terse as I was posting from work and did want to get you a response. Yes, I *do* understand your confusion, especially in light of our review. It is a hard call to make, as a forum manager, I am sure you are very aware of that. When a relatively new user comes into the forums and makes such an assertive statement that you made, the "cynacism factor" goes expodential. Your low post count and my cynacism coincided for the first strike. The second strike was the propensity of that subject to start flame wars. Just read some of the archives and you will see what I mean. So, two strikes and the message was out.Okay, so you are not a front man but rather a satisfied customer of the service. And had I let the message stand, I may have realized that over the course of the following posts. But, having seen this before, I did what my instincts told me was the right thing to do. I probably won't be so quick to pull the trigger next time. As for our policies on commercial postings, see our terms of use statement. Does that mean that commercial posting aren't made? No.... I am pretty confident that there are a number of "shills" who are doing exactly that in the guise of "normal users" and that is why EVERYONE's cynacism threshold should be low when encountering this stuff.

I can understand, based on what you explained, how you might have arrived at that decision now. Rest assured I ain't no shill, just a very satisfied customer who thought others might be interested in the service. I was, and will contimue to be, blissfully ignorant of any previous problems discussed here about FSGS. I do not post a lot because I learned a long time ago, I learn more by reading than shooting my mouth off. In the future, if I find another product that is worthy of praise, I hope we don't have this type of problem, there are IMHO, very few that qualify, and many that don't.The only product I would ever actively 'advertize', is the game I work for, and you won't see that here. Thanks again,Jay Gardner

Jay,"In the future, if I find another product that is worthy of praise, I hope we don't have this type of problem, there are IMHO, very few that qualify, and many that don't."Fair enough. :)

>with the word "law". If you can't help that habit, at least>use a somewhat accurate legal term like "transpassing".What is "somewhat accurate" meant to be anyway? Using [a href=http://www.webster.com/dictionary/transpassing]non-existent words[/a]?D*mn those rebounds, huh? ;)Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg

We're in Tom's parlor. It goes by his rules and nobody elses. And the way things can get out of hand in some of these forum threads I don't blame him for enforcing them strictly.

>If you pull a weapon on him, he has (in the US at least) the>right to kill you.Not everywhere. ;)

"I am pretty confident that there are a number of "shills" who are doing exactly that in the guise of "normal users" and that is why EVERYONE's cynacism threshold should be low when encountering this stuff."Yes, there are quite few shills on this forum :(. They are so deceitful.

"I am relatively new to FS, and I did the exact same thing in these and other forums when I dealt with the developers of GE and FE. There are #### few companies that not only deliver what they say, but back it up with outstanding service also."Too "relatively new" I fear. With some attempt at objectivity I would suggest a little more longivity before condemning the majority of suppliers. Out of the MANY "companies" from whom I have purchased products going back to the days of the 5" floppy versions of FS, Only one fits in my book to "not only deliver what they say, but back it up with outstanding service also". (And I have to concede that I have the same attitude you express toward that company which may in fact not be totally fair). Well, maybe I am being too complimentary to everybody, but certainly to the majority. Maybe "outstanding" is a bit too much, but certainly adequate enough to not deserve any hostility. Sorry for your disappointment and hope you reach some resolution.Happy flying:RTH1585368CFI
