New Processor or Graphics Card

Featured Replies

I have a 4th gen Intel I-4790 @3.60GHz and I have a GTX 745 in my computer. I usually get around 15fps in P3D V4 at daytime at payware airports. I would like to know if it would be more beneficial to upgrade to an i7-8700k or get a new graphics card (i.e.GTX 1080). Also, budget is not an issue for this question.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thank You!

You wont need to upgrade the CPU. Just overclock it into the high 4"s with a good cooler of course

My 4770 is clocked at 4.4 and I've a new 1080ti.

Everything works fine.

Your CPU is by far the stronger component in your system. The GTX 745 was never meant to be much of a gaming card.

+1 And given the OP is using P3Dv4, a new GPU is sorely needed.

Edit: Since budget seems not to be a concern, simply update the entire system!
