May 14, 20188 yr Hi Guys Just recently in the last couple weeks P3D loads before I have a chance to load SPAD, Active Sky; so i have to close it. I don't see P3D in the START menu; so what could be causing this? Thanks for ideas? Lennie, Henderson, North Carolina. May 14, 20188 yr It's a most intelligent feature Microsoft in their infinite wisdon added in one of the latest Windows updates. All programs running when shutting down will be restarted at the next booting. Close P3D before shutting down and all is good. Go to the options menu and see if " Show Scenario Startup Screen" is checked. Edited May 14, 20188 yr by Benzhangar

P3D closes but on some systems with slow shutdown times it is still in memory while windows 10 is shutting down so W10 thinks P3D is still loaded and runs it on startup next time anyway 🙃 You either have to check that P3D is fully unloaded using task manager, or click on the desktop and press ALT F4 and select shutdown from the menu that popups up. Yeah I know 🙄 I couldn't find an option in the settings to disable this "feature".
May 15, 20188 yr I found two articles on the internet dealing with this question: https://winaero.com/blog/disable-apps-auto-reopening-windows-10/ http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/stop-auto-reopen-programs-restart-windows-10/ Needless to say that personally, I am not very amused by MS' ongoing attitude to decide what's best for us and what not ... 😉 Cheers Frank Frank Hoehn I7-6700K, Asus Z170-A, 32GB DDR4, GeForce GTX 1070, Samsung 850 Evo 500GB, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB (P3D), WD Blue 4TB, Win10 Pro 1803, P3Dv4.4
