November 2, 20187 yr Hi Folks, Just a heads up - Wells Sullivan - released a new update for the B55 Baron... As per Wells: An update has been posted in the Milviz B55 support forum. If you don't have access, contact Oisin and he'll hook you up! Changes - Corrected weight and balance for 6 seat configuration - Corrected engine power output and fuel consumption for given power setting ( power and fuel consumption were high ) - Corrected cruise speeds for a given power setting ( the airplane was 5-10 knots fast ) - Changed the zero lift angle of the wing by 1° and raised the viewpoint by 1.2 inches - Added a bunch of extra internal and external views Regards, Scott
November 2, 20187 yr Sweet! How do I contact Oisin, btw? Ahh....nevermind, I found his email address at the Milviz site. Looking forward to getting this update. Edited November 2, 20187 yr by StewartH Stew "Different dog, different fleas"
November 2, 20187 yr Just go to the "Official" B-55 support forum on the Milviz forum website. You can download the FDE update there.

Thanks, but I don't see and Official B-55 support forum there, probably because I haven't yet registered for that forum. I've sent Oisin a request. Stew "Different dog, different fleas"
November 2, 20187 yr He can set you up so that you have access to the official support forum. Just need to send him a proof of purchase. That's what I did when I purchased the Twin Comanche.
November 2, 20187 yr I logged in to the B55 forum, but could not find a new/recent FDE update for the B55? can you provide more exact info on where to look< Thanks
November 2, 20187 yr Go to the official Milviz website. --Support Forums --B-55 Support Forum --Under the "Topics" Section you will find "Flight Dynamics Update November 2018" (second down from the top). Mouse click on that. --Within the Attachment box you will find the download link. Mouse click on that link and you're home. Hope this helps.
November 2, 20187 yr Are these updated files for both B-55 models? If not, which one does the files apply to? Thanks
November 2, 20187 yr raymie, If I'm not mistaken, the update is for the B55 only, not the E55. Stew "Different dog, different fleas"
November 2, 20187 yr Author Hi Folks, I won't have a chance to look until I get in this weekend... I would assume Stew is correct as MilViz has already stated they are dropping the E model FDE completely - which is probably good as the actual model represented in the sim is the B model - - - the E model is considerably different... Regards, Scott

November 2, 20187 yr The new update features a new b55_8.air. How does the sim know to use this file and not the older b55_7.air? Just curious that we didn't have to make any changes in this regard. Edited November 2, 20187 yr by StewartH Stew "Different dog, different fleas"
