FSX Beta for Fileplanet Subscribers

Featured Replies

So is it the full functioning beta or a beta that will be similar to the demo with options turned off?

Well I just joined up (approx $16 USD) and subscribed to the FSX beta. It's says I will be notified if my application has been accepted :(I will be really annoyed if I dont get access after paying $16. I will feel like I've been scammed by FilePlanet and Microsoft. :-mad Hopefully the FSX beta will be made available to EVERYONE that subscribed.

If you don't have $8 or whatever to spare, you aren't a subscriber already, and all you really want is a chance to participate in the FSX beta I wouldn't suggest you subscribe. You may be disapointed if for some reason you aren't chosen (however, I have been with fileplanet for 3 years or so and every beta they have held I have been able to participate it, I honestly don't know how the selection process works, if there even is one)

Personally any developer that would choose their beta testers from a group of people that paid for the right, lose most of their credibility in my mind.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/ambanner.jpg

To be fair you aren't paying for a beta, you're paying for a download service. I wouldn't specifically pay for a beta either.

The $16 is fine, but the only reason im subscribing is to get the beta.I would imagine many people will just download a pirate copy (for free!). At least Im paying them $16 for it.Hopefully, I will be selected.

OK, so it actually is the full, time limited beta version. But, notice that there is a "FREE SUBSCRIPTION" available...

I just did the questionaire and that's it. No way I'm paying File-planet for anything ever.

Free?Sorry I meant I joined up to FilePlanet for $16 and then subscribed to FSX beta for free.

As far as I know it is the full thing--12GB worth.

Been a Fileplanet Subscriber for some time. I signed up, so I hopefully I will get picked for the closed Beta. Question for TDragger, if chosen, will we be bound by an NDA, not to discuss the beta?

Tdragger, do you know if we sign up if we are guaranteed access to the beta?. I ask because I signed up and really hope I am set to get the beta.

Thanks... Are you able to confirm that ALL subscribers who signed up will get it? I think it's unfair that some people might miss out, especially if they just joined up and paid money to be a FilePlanet member just for the FSX beta, like me :)If i miss out i will just have to :-bang or :-hang or :-samurai yuk! :-erks

Well, it does say subscribing doesn't guarantee participation. So anyone that ignores that warning and signs up and doesn't get to participate, no fault but their own.
