Featured Replies

If you are a www.fileplanet.com subscriber, you will be able to download the FSX beta sometime. This was totally out of the blue, glad I'm already a subscriber. .

It says FilePlanet Subscriber beta for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.The beta is FilePlaner SuBscriber - Presumably this will be the demo version of FS X which has already been mentioned.

Don't think so. Everytime fileplanet does a subscriber beta it's just that - a beta. If somone from ACES or tdragger could elaborate on it could you reply here please? I've already signed up, but I think it said you still have to be chosen for the beta so I have my fingers crossed. Would love to help find the bugs and make it as good as smooth as possible on release.

My comment is that I recommend you all sign up...soon. ;)

Paying for betatesting, i think not. What a slap in the face to all in the flightsimming community, why the heck not ask here if they wanted betatesters.

No thanks. You have to pay and in their words "Subscribing does not guarantee participation".

Well, for those of us that are already subscribers, it's a good deal. But yeah don't subscribe just to beta test.

So is there a group of people choosing testers, or is it automatic or first come first serve?

>My comment is that I recommend you all sign up...soon. ;)So it's not a scam to get money out of us then?

What a cold thing to do to us. There is no way I am going to pay for a subscription to a site just to get a free demo. I am very upset at this as i'm sure a lot of other flight simmers are as well.

I hope you're joking Mike. Otherwise you guys are going to loose a lot of credibility.Doug

Oh come on now. You are upset because you have to pay for a beta preview of a product? I can only imagine how upset you will be when you find out you have to pay for the actual program when it is released.

I'm will be very happy to pay for the beta. But are you able to clarify this statement on the FilePlanet website"The Flight Simulator X Beta is only for FilePlanet subscribers.**Subscribing does not guarantee participation".If I subscribe I want to be guaranteed access to the beta. At the moment it sounds like I might end up subscribing and miss out anyway. Also, are you able to confirm whether this beta is the talked about "demo" with just a limited area or is it totally unrestricted?
