FYI, you can do some SAR type stuff in FS9 as is. BFU did an online SAR flight a long time ago where we had a whole bunch of people looking for some lost hikers on Annette Island. (The coordinator of that flight made a small scenery package which contained a tent that we had to hunt for.) We eventually found them, but it took some time even with a whole bunch of us flying. :)"Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

For FSX they said they fixed the scenery library program from FS9 that made you restart after adding/changing scenery, so you should be able to add scenery on the fly as we did in FS2002. Now whether the mission editor will have any control over that I don't know."Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

Considering there is a Tutorials folder, which already has one mission, FSX may well come with an instrument check ride mission. Though how it would compare to real life I don't know. :)"Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

But as the community has always done, my job will be to fill in the blanks.

You can add mission-specific scenery items. That's how the a/c carrier in the demo Flour Power mission was added.

>PS: come to think of it...in a two player environemnt.. if one>person is the air traffic/tower controller, he/she could give>the commands for the No gyro radar approach guidence too.No idea what that kind of approach is, but I think that kinda thing is why they put their effort into upgrading multiplayer. All the ATC stuff that FSX won't do we could try to do online. :)"Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

I'd like to see a cold war intercept off the Maine coast, perhaps a phantom and a bison or something?Or how about a P-3 Subhunt.Or a nuke sub in danger SAR, if you don't get there in time - meltdown.Oh geez, I'm thinking you could mission big battles, like Midway or something. I'm imagining being the PBY pilot who discovers the Japanese fleet. Or perhaps a Val pilot who discovers the American fleet but notifies their home fleet in time for a different outcome.I wonder what the limits on missions are?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)
