Hi,

Anyone tried out the Turbine sounds with these new MaddogX versions ? Does it work and still a better rendering?

Thanks

I think it's pretty good, but still had to do some manual adjustments to fit taste better.

Unfortunately I had to disable PBR.  It is beautiful up close but in any outside spot view past the wingspan or so the shimmying is awful.  Removed PBR and it stopped.  Anyone else see this?  I'm using a monitor with 2560x1440 native resolution and have 8700K with a 1080.  The PBR problem isn't really a big deal to me as I'm so engrossed in trying to learn to fly this challenging bird, but was just curious about others experiences in outside spot views (and especially panning) with PBR enabled.

Thanks,

Greg

How do you disable PBR ? I thought textures are either PBR or normal .....

I too dislike it intensely. Worse issue since mip mapping in FS2004.

Or does Maddog give option to install either ?

There is an option in the maddog load manager setup to disable PBR both inside and outside of the cockpit.

Yes thnx.

Apparently it is by luck though, as you cannot use VC pbr with True Light or something..... so you get the choice of pbr with standard lighting, or no pbr with the real light.... no brainer for me.

Also, to get rid of the PMDG PBR, just copy back an old 'backup' of the standard texture folders. I gave a backup from the 747-400 December update, and it works fine. The textures don't touch the model files so it's perfectly safe.

Also, I would imagine any 3rd party repaints that do not have PBR, would do the job too.

Now I have the latest fixes, but without the PBR stuff.
