Justsm's EBBR

Featured Replies

I have been reading up on past posts around November/December 2018 time on Justsim's EBBR.

Have they eliminated the various bits that were in those varied posts? Is it still worth a good buy? Not worth buying? Opinions please.

I don't own JustSim's version as I'm saving my pennies for the EBBR that Jo Erlend Sund is now supposed to be working on for Aerosoft. Having seen the incredible artwork that he created with EDDK, I think it will be well worth the wait.

Thanks for that heads-up. Will await patiently then as I do not want to waste money on Justsim if the November/December posts were anything to go by

Hi,

I purchased this last month. I haven't noticed anything unusual with this scenery and I'm quite happy with it. Which posts are you referring to? There is a fix available which I also installed with the scenery. It's a XML file which has something to do with SODE. Is this what you're referring to?

Kind regards

Dave

Thanks for that, Dave. The posts I was referring to had mentioned Afcad issues and why the users had to do the work that the developer should have done, so forth. Are you running it in P3Dv4, may I ask? Now I am in a quandary as 7373NG mentioned an alternative, and you have endorsed it.🤣

As I am using PSXseeconTraffic I luckily do not need Afcad files ...😑

So, has it still got those Afcad issues then?

My issue with grabbing a copy of JustSim/Digital Design EBBR Brussels is that I do not know if there is a good enough scenery package of Belgium to go with it. I am aware that there is a MegaScenery Earth version of Belgium available, but past experience of MSE packages does not inspire me with a great deal of confidence. If only ORBx would extend their TrueEarth Netherlands scenery to cover Belgium....

Hi,

I am indeed using P3Dv4 (v4.4) and what have I endorsed? I've also got all the Orbx stuff installed. I don't use any AI traffic, so that's maybe why I haven't run into any problems with this scenery yet.

Kind regards,

Dave

Okay Dave, maybe 'endorsed' was a faux pax on my behalf, kinda 'slip-of-the-tongue', when I meant you okayed it. Like you I have all the Orbx stuff except I switch off to save resources when I am not in say a particular Region, and only use MyTraffic Ai. In your opinion as a  Justsimm EBBRS user, is that okay, or would I expect issues with the Afcads?

That's why I bided my time after those November/December threads.

Well Rick, can't really say as I have switched off all AI traffic (except a little road traffic) to save resources. P3Dv4 requires more resources than previous versions, especially when using a multi-screen setup. Using a single screen setup, everything is very smooth.

Kind regards,

Dave

Ah! He is working on EBBR now? I reckon it'll take a while for that to get released, but I'm sure it'll be well worth the wait if his EDDK is anything to go by. I got it just last week, but it looks really great. I'll happily wait for his version to come out. Also because I am not the biggest fan of Justsim... While everything about their products is usually fine (I wouldn't know it if there's something inaccurate about it, to be honest), I generally feel like Justsim's airports lack in character. I find it hard to pinpoint why.. I just don't quite feel like I'm 'there' the way I feel like when I'm coming into a FlyTampa, FSDT or even a LatinVFR airport. For that reason I never jumped onto EBBR. Just didn't 'feel' it.

Coming from you, Benjamin, having read your posts over the years I have been in Avsim, if I am not too mistaken you may know about the Justsim EBBR downsides because you are from that region? Please correct me if I am wrong. So, that's 2 votes for Jo Sund. May well be worth the wait in the long run. Glad I stopped at the Buy Now button.
