August 2, 200619 yr There was a thread in this forum titled "A Plea to the FSX Team" where TDragger hinted that the new start location will not be an active runway. So, my guess is it will be on a Taxiway on a Seattle airport.
August 2, 200619 yr Currently the plan is each language version will have a different default. Collect them all! ;)
August 2, 200619 yr As an ADDED QUICK ADDITION feature before release, why not use Microsoft Locate Me technology to find the closest commercial airport when it starts up if you're online OR as an EXTRA MENU ITEM? :)Carmine http://forums.avsim.net/images/wave.gifhttp://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7118/phoenixtp8mg.jpg
August 2, 200619 yr >Currently the plan is each language version will have a>different default. Collect them all! ;)Any chance there will be a British default rather then us being lumbered with an American one? :-)
August 2, 200619 yr You'll be perfectly happy with your American English copy of FS starting on the lovely American continent. -teases-American English =)

August 2, 200619 yr >What makes you think it will start on the ground?hmm, either that Aircraft Carrier from FSX video; or ... a Crimson Sky scenario with a blimp-mothership flying high in the sky!=S.V.=
August 2, 200619 yr I think since they're modeling the poles for the first time, they should start at McMurdo Sound (sp?) in Antartica. Being unusually hot outside today, -70 degrees F, sounds pretty good right about now. At the same time however, having been a FS-fan for many versions now, I will miss the default Meigs airfield. I wonder if Miegs will have crosses bulldozed across it in FSX.BTW, Until I saw the spanish FSX video posted yesterday, I wasn't 100% sure if it was FSX (as in x-ray) or FSX (as in 10, roman numeral). Now I know... Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
