Does anyone mess with Nvidia Cpanel for P3D V4.4 ?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone , I would like to know if anyone makes any changes to the Nvidia Cpanel  or does everyone choose to leave this at default after installing a new driver ? Please care to share your setting if you like . I don't use Nvidia Inspector as that is old news for P3D V4 . But I did made changes to NCP in the past such as quality texture to high also  Prefer Maximum Performance .

SSD -Crucial MX500 1TB (P3D Install Only)
OS- Samsung 960 EVO 500GB (Window 10 Pro 64)

The main ones I change are the texture filtering mode to high performance, anisotropic set to 16x and clamping of the negative LOD setting.

Lol! Me too, might be all it’s really needed for these days.

Don’t think it helps much or at all for P3D V4.X but I could be wrong.

If you find you’re not going to use it, you can disable the two Nvidia services that are running, (can’t remember what they are called 😬 but they’re not hard to find) that will rid you of the control panel, don’t know if you’ll see any performance gain, I just like disabling services I don’t use for simming.

You won’t be able to bring up the Nvidia control panel again until you re-enable the two services.

Thanks for posting guys , just curious to know . I can't seem to remember many simmers using the NCP for any major improvement with in the sim .

Hi Mr Leny.

All I set in NCP is Power Management: Prefer maximum performance.

All other settings are in P3D.

Thank you good to know there is no need to make major changes in the NCP .

For TrackIR users -  I also set the vertical sync value to fast sync - it improves the fps when panning within the VC.

Great I use Track IR , I stop using it for that matter when panning  in the vc the camera will get all jerky. I first thought it was a chase plane problem . But then notice others having the same problem as well with Track Ir
