I still look forward to Pete’s show every week, I like to hear what he has to say for the most part, I do agree that this may be a bit short sighted but we won’t know until we know, it’s only his Opinion right? Besides, Opinions are like @-holes, everyone has one and sometimes they’re crappy😉

I don’t mind Traffic Global, Although I use it with VOX ATC, it seems to do what I need it to do. I think with any “early access” product, we should understand and I think that most of us do, is that it is not a “complete” product and may not be for an unknown amount of time, I do agree this can be frustrating but I knew the deal when I purchased, it is explained to us before purchase. What feature are you really missing in TG right now? What is the program not doing that you really want it to do at this time? The developer seems alright to me as well, haven’t noticed the “disappearing” act from them and have had all of the questions answered in a timely fashion that I have asked. Cheers, Greg Z.

Hi, I was having the KERNELBASE.dll CTD as well out of nowhere which was very frustrating indeed. What fixed it for me was to delete my P3D user profile settings, in Documents\P3D V4 files\ they had become corrupted and caused this crash at many different times including loading a senario and closing the sim. the culprit could also be a bad weather (WX) file too. These are only a couple of possible solutions out of many, but it might be worth a shot. Hope this helps😁

Are you using a USB headset? If not, Do you have have 1 sound card or two? I may be wrong but I believe you need either 2 sound cards or a USB headset with a built in sound card to get voices in the headset, I personally could never get it to work until I purchased a USB headset years ago.

I use the “Seth” (I think 😜) profile from the TIR site, it’s a great base point to start with and make minor adjustments to suit your needs, hope this helps.

I would definitely recommend you use TIR with either one of these programs, they are both great! 😁

Just a thought for those using TIR with airliners, and many already know this, but if using TIR with Chaseplane or EZdok, you can set up the views so that for example, a Captains seat setup could essentially have two of the same view, one with TIR disabled (no head movement) and one with TIR enabled so you can pan around the cockpit, just switch back and forth to whatever preference you desire. I do this with all of the planes I fly, it works great when on final and you don’t want the “unwanted” head movements.

Been using TIR since 2012 and couldn’t fly without it.🙂

I’m using TIR and chase plane in V4.5 and it works very well as usual🙂

I like Carenado planes, Some are better than others, but that goes for all addon developers I would think. They obviously still have a strong market or they wouldn’t be around. They are a decent representation of the aircraft that they model and are definitely geared towards the folks who like things a little simpler and just like to just get going in a hurry sometimes 🙂 Just my two cents, and the ATR looks nice too.

Sorry to hear that some are having some issues with V4.5. For my Sim, I have the same “very very good” performance on V4.5 as I did with V4.4 settings are Medium high with with dynamic lighting “on” my frames are set to unlimited, I’ve stopped checking the FPS and aim for smoothness, if I were to guess, I’d say it’s between 25 and 45 FPS anywhere I fly, even around the Seattle area with all ORBX, but who knows? 🙂 So far I am loving P3D v4 and right now V4.5 is really running great for me using ORBX + Tongass and all RTMM, PMDG, Aerosoft, ASV4(open beta) REX 4, REX 5, REX WWA, FSUIPC5, Carenado, A2A, Traffic through Vox ATC and Traffic Global, and many many more . I hope some of the others get their issues sorted out. Still running my old I7-2700k @4.8 and somewhat new MSI GTX 1070ti

Don’t think it helps much or at all for P3D V4.X but I could be wrong. If you find you’re not going to use it, you can disable the two Nvidia services that are running, (can’t remember what they are called 😬 but they’re not hard to find) that will rid you of the control panel, don’t know if you’ll see any performance gain, I just like disabling services I don’t use for simming. You won’t be able to bring up the Nvidia control panel again until you re-enable the two services.

Agree 100% Get into P3D V4 right away Updates are so incredibly easy, Maybe just research the updates before going ahead to see if the new version is even worth it for you (I’m sure it would be though 😉) P3D V4 is a really big step from FSX, I think you’ll enjoy. Cheers,

Hi, I’ve used Trackir since about 2012 and there is no way I think I could Sim without it. My original goal with Trackir was to use it until I was able to get a full view sim built but I’ve decided to stay with my Trackir because it’s Awesome! When you watch someone else use Trackir it looks ridiculous, you might think “What the hell is this guy looking at?” But until you use it for yourself you won’t understand how immersed you can get while simming, it’s not like VR but you kind get a sense that you are actually in the plane, I think it’s pretty cool. Hi, I’m not sure where I read this but you can try and search it, I believe the consensus is that with an older Chip hyper threading seems to work better than the newer ones. I use HT ON for my i7-2700k @4.8ghz for P3DV4 and it is so much better for “My” Sim, without it I get some micro stutters. But They only way you’re going to find out is if you try it for yourself. This is only my opinion but with a 6700K I think HT OFF might be your best bet. Let us know how you make out
