I remember Poppet advising to delete the FTX AA ORBXLIBS.txt file and then launch FTX Central, which then will give a message to re/install ORBXLIBS. What do you think ? Aha great tip thanks forgot that one 🙄 André
April 11, 20197 yr It seems that landclass for urban/towns/cities has some kind of night time random lights added to the areas, I am seeing a mix of red and white point lights. Not sure if this looks great to be honest, I preferred just the BM vector lights before
April 12, 20197 yr Don't need to delete the orbxlibs.txt file, can just verify files in FTX central and it does the same thing. Had like 127mb of files to download so I'm assuming the content update overwrote some stuff.

I don't know the specifics, but I think the nighttime improvements were in the rendering methods being used and enhancing certain global shaders - making it applicable to essentially everything. I don't do a ton of night flying, but I will certainly be checking it all out.
April 12, 20197 yr Author Thank you guys. In my case it was simple - I didn't have P3d installed, so I made a fresh install of P3D and then installed ORBX FTX Global, and did update the Libraries, and actually did run a file check when I saw that option (hadn't seen it before, I must confess...) OTOH, if doing this overwrites files installed by the P3D install I wonder if that's not a "problem"... Anyway guys, each time I install a new update of P3D, and while it lasts on my rig ( ya know me... I'm that guy... the "Uninstaller" :-))) ) I always feel puzzled with the smoothness I get compared to previous versions, specially because nothing, other than updated NVidia drivers, has changed, the system being exactly the system I bought in 2011 to be able to run MS FLIGHT 🙂 ( Oh.... MS-FLIGHT.... oh MS-FLIGHT.... I miss it so much ... ) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
