May 13, 20197 yr Hello As many users continue to wait for the V4.5 fix, would an alternative to be to do a fresh install of P3D and all add-ons or is the solution more involved, therefore, have to wait until the fix is released? Clive Alexander

The Hotfix would basicaly be another Client version. If you didn't had v4.5 on your system you can't even tell if you "feel" the performance issue. It might be that your system handles "the issue" quite easely if your settings are not far right, have moderate resolution, HW with some headroom,.... I ran v4.5 on HD res and only 1 monitor and the drop was not significant enough to notice. I had to prerecord a flight and look at the FPS Logging to see the difference. Reverted to 4.4 (client) to ease my mind 😀 and installed v4.5 (client) again just this weekend to test with REX5. I can fly with it! Reinstalled just ASP4/ASCA all other things remained untouched. I would reccomend you to do a full and clean v4.5 install and test your rig. If you have issues, revert to 4.4 Client till the HF is released. Clive Alexander Flying in regions which are not so fps intensive is another alternative. I (re)discovered really nice areas and airports in South America, Asia and some parts of Europe by doing so. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).
May 13, 20197 yr Till the HF has been released : fly with your AG settings at Normal instead of higher... May 13, 20197 yr Revert your client to v4.4. Jack the Swede in Spain Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
May 13, 20197 yr Author I think the word "HOTFIX" should be dropped as many weeks have now passed since the problem was acknowledged and what was expected to be a fast solution has not transpired as it appears that the problem is more serious Reverting to V4.4 is probably the best idea as I do not like using V4.5 on half settings, which if not corrected soon will get people use to using V4.5 with half settings, which will become the norm and pressure from continual messages of dissatisfaction will cease and therefore a fix will be delayed or not corrected until the next major release. Many add-ons have been optimised for V4.5 and users are still waiting to use V4.5 to its full potential, not half settings
