Just Order Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals

Featured Replies

Tomorrow I will get my hands on my investment into some good Rudders/Brakes, replacing my Saitek ones.

I will report my findings for anyone interested in them.

Hopefully, they will last me years and having a Thrustmaster Warthog am looking forward to having all my braking, rudder movements taken care of in the same amazing way.

Have a look here if you have never heard of them. (Modes the video has no adult content)

Nice! Thanks for sharing, David.

I've been considering the TM T.Flight rudder pedals, but no idea when I might get a set of pedals of any kind.

They are excellent for the money. Not, perfect as they do have a very slight centre but you don’t really notice it. If I’m being picky, and I am because I’m a hardware snob, I’d like the brake pedals to be harder eg a load cell for a realistic feel but oneself, that is me taking it to extremes.

I'm sure you will love them. I don’t regret mine at all.

Thanks for sharing the video. I just ordered them after watching. I’ll probably have every type of Saitek rudder pedal manufactured for sale after receiving. Even the Saitek combat pedals. I think I found my last set of pedals with these.

After setting them up and using them in DCS, I did two Harrier VSOL landing and they were without question the best I have done the level of control over my old Saitek is day and night. Really they should not even be compared the gap is that extreme.

Within P3D I now only fly the FSL and my only gripe is how sensitive the brakes are. I installed the TARGET soft wear, made a P3D profile, made the left and right braking have a good curve. Now the braking with the FSL is a dream.

The build quality is stunning. In use, it takes rudder and brake control to a new level, 0 spikes come with HALL sensors and the TPR like the warthog all axis work on HALL.

If you want to invest in rudders/brakes to truly last years as I see nothing to wear out and bring the highest level to your sim. I suggest you think about these as I did not like crossfires as they have that circular motion, TPR are straight back just like they should be.

Blown away by them as I hoped I would be.

Downside? When I added the brake pedals I thought the range was too small, but in practice, they perfect. You just have to set the angle to suit your own needs.

How are you finding the no anckle support?

this video helps visualise what I mean.. skip to 7:50

his anckles are always floating, having to hold leg weight off the floor.

it looks uncomfortable, and it looks like you would physically have to lift your feet higher to apply the brakes, rather than just rotating your ankles.

how are you finding that, when useing them?

My old Saitek rudders did not have a heal support also. (Cessna reps)

You rest the instep of your foot on the bottom part like he is. It feels like you just resting your feet. You adjust the brake pedals to the angle depending on how you sit so you can just push with your toes to brake (toe braking). You want the brake part angled just away from the angle your feet are resting. That's all down to how you sit, he is laying well back and his seat is almost on the floor so he will have the angle set much higher rake than me. I sit in a normal PC seat so my pedals are angled at around 45 degrees so my feet as am sitting much higher sit even more firmly than his, as he is setting with a leg angle so low.

When you place your feet on the rudders they support your feet. There Ali cast and you feel your feet are resting/supported by metal. Your feet are not going anywhere until you push on the rudders. Your feet are totally supported.

Placing your feet as he just means your foot pivot around your insteps. The perfect pivot point for your foot to be balanced. Place you instep on a corner of a step then roll your foot forward. You don't need your heals at all.

Go to 3:25 he talks about how the rudders and brakes are in the real world. In your video the guy does not have a floor under it.

Maurice, when I had my old rudders I did what he does and just rest my feet on the floor and just push as he shows but now I find I can just place my insteps on them, then just rock my feet forward to tow brake. The degree of feeling and precision is something that cannot be shown, it needs to be used and felt.

Abought 11 months.

Here you can see people trying them out at a show with normal seats and can see how they rest their feet, but personly I never wear shoes, But I think because they have holes in the pedals there is a big declaimer that these rudders should never be used with bare feet or just socks. LOL.

In the states, Dell has them the cheapest at $499 with free 2 day shipping. I received mine on Friday. Piece of cake to setup. They work much better than my Saitek Combat pedals.
