I am wondering whther it relates to the AIG simobjects so I am running a full reinstall but FWIW i didnt have this issue last night over KMCO so doubt it is this Sounds more like a scenery database problem. But the error message is too short to learn anything from it. I will add a more comprehensive log output to it in 1.51. That version is not quite ready yet, but if you send me a PM here, I will make it available to you, so we can pinpoint your issue. 1.51 will also remember if there was trouble creating an AI model, so it won't try again. Two days ago I noticed that a few models have vanished from the AIG OCI pool after the latest update, so I needed to add this. Best regards LORBY-SI
August 24, 20196 yr Hi Oliver, I experienced the Webservice-Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object? today and interesting that you think it may be some sort of scenery Database problem. Specifically, it happens sitting at the ramp of FSDT’s new KORDv2. If I go to EDDF (Aerosoft), EGLL (Aerosoft), WSSS (Imaginesim), YSSY (Fly Tampa) it does not occur. I fly everywhere and always with LLTX and today is the first time I have got this error and it is repeatable at KORDv2. I am using the latest version you can download, my models are UTLive, and I use Real Traffic with LLTX in AI mode, with the Route Finder application open. I don’t know if that provides any further insight however the fact that it is repeatable at a particular scenery and your comment above I thought I should “call it in”. Cheers, Mark
August 24, 20196 yr Author Commercial Member Hello Mark, I have encountered many strange "tricks" by airport developers that trip up my new BGL scanner. If have fixed those that I found in LLTX 1.51. I am still tinkering with the taxi-in logic in Live mode, but the app works, and I could send you a link to my current devel version if you want. Best regards LORBY-SI
December 8, 20196 yr Hi everybody, I use Live Traffic v 1.61.b03 on P3Dv4.5. I use olso Saitek Yoke pro flight with Throttles quadrant and Multi switch box. I use olso SPAD 64bits version. AI aircrafts source FLAI. W10 pro FSuipc free last version. My problem : Mixture axe is randomly set to zero and shutdown the engine. It's only when I connect Lorby Live Traffic. P3dv4 is set to raw input mode. When I try direct input mode, I lose the Trottle Quadrant. Any idea to help me? Friendly Aimé Edited December 8, 20196 yr by Leclercq A. I unactive the bgl trafic and return to you after testing. Regards. HI, then (most likely) that is your problem. Carenado aircraft have a piece of animation code concerning mixture in their MDL files, that relies on variables from the aircraft gauges to work. Since an AI aircraft doesn't have any gauges, the values of those variables are wrong, and because their animation code isn't instance specific, it shuts off the engines of your own aircraft instead of those of the AI. I had to write a fair bit of code around this issue in my WAMA addon, where the problem was the same. The moment one of the Carenado aircraft models was loaded in the sim, the users' own engines went offline. Maybe running WAMA would help you too, but there is no way to be sure. I need to think about this, if it makes sense to implement the same logic into LLTX. I am right in the middle of the next version anyway. Best regards Edited December 8, 20196 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
December 8, 20196 yr Hi Oliver, I've purged the default GA aircraft list in Live Traffic. Now it's run without shut down my aircraft. I'll inject one by one new aircraft (without Carenado and Alabeo) Thanks Best regards Aimé AiméMy Youtube channel Windows 10 Professionnel 64-bit / MS-7917 / 16384MB RAM / ATI Radeon RX590 8GB Vram / SyncMaster B2430L / SyncMaster 2333SW / LG ULTRAWIDE / Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 / Yüsmart JT198x7-1 / Flight Yoke System / Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel + Trottle quadran / Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals / Trackir5

Tomorrow I will look into adding a remedy for this like I did with WAMA, and you could try it with your setup? Best regards LORBY-SI

December 9, 20196 yr I see by default there are in P3Dv4 a Carenado aircraft (AC11 Commander 114) present in the GA AI List in Live Traffic. I think that one is different, I didn't see it causing problems. It is only the payware Carenados that do this, and I believe that it is a copy protection mechanism. Best regards LORBY-SI

In FSX this anomaly does not occur. I cannot prove extensively but I believe that LM has reduced the thread priority in P3D for the panel system of AI/Multiplayer aircraft. This will help P3D perform better with extensive AI aircraft. In FSX the priority is on the same level. How it works : 1) When the aircraft is installed a certain value is written "somewhere" . 2) When the aircraft is loaded in the sim as a user or AI aircraft, 1, and sometimes more of the gauges look to find this previously written, hidden "value". Note - this is the part where P3D falls short, at a slower priority it lags, the next steps happen right away. 3) If the hidden, installation provided value is found then the gauge writes a "go" value to an L:Var. If not found the L:Var remains the same or forced to a "no go" value. 4) The visual model is now being loaded. Inside the model code the L:Var gets read. If a "go" value then all is good, nothing happens. If a "no go" value then inside the model is code to cut the mixture and 1 of the following: hard over control commands for the ailerons, rudder or elevator. This has been tested extensively and can really cause problems in a multiplayer environment. (very similar / same to an AI environment) More of the same explanations can be found here & here. The core issue is, that with an AI plane or simple object their panels and gauges are never loaded - at all (= no aircraft systems beyond what is in the simulator itself and no animations beyond what works on its own accord in the MDL). So the variable isn't set that is required in the Carenado MDL animation code, and since that code is not instance based, it applies to your own aircraft instead of the AI. Personally, I would advise against going into too much detail of how this works. It is Carenados anti piracy logic and their intellectual property. It would be dead easy to beat this specific issue, but other than act on the mixture event when I detect it in WAMA, I didn't take that route. This is legally tricky enough as it is.
