IFR KSAV-KCLT C130 AP - anyone else with issue?

Featured Replies

I setup a flight plan to fly IFR (VOR-VOR) from KSAV to KCLT using the CaptSim C130 autopilot. I get about 2/3 of the way there and ATC starts giving me instructions that turn me around 180 degrees!! I have tried this several times and got the same results.I have then cancelled IFR and flown VFR with no problems into KCLT, same flight plan.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Maybe it is just me.....

Interesting. Actually, you don't even need an autopilot for that flight. Depart rwy 36, select heading hold, disengage the autopilot when you get to Charlotte. LOL

Your talent is a gift from God. How you use your talent is your gift back to God.

FSX's ATC does weird things with IFR flight plans, usually a lot of turns that do not seem to really accomplish anything except make you follow their odd and sometimes bizarre instructions.
