I guess you must of being sleeping when those people woke up and started their PCs and there was win 10 installing itself.

Ah yes, the out-of-the-blue Windows 10 update. Nobody had seen that coming. Total communications blackout on Microsoft's part beforehand.

Check out the YouTube videos posted today. Interviews with the devs at the studio making the sim and the Microsoft guy. No subscription model planned.

Today I opened P3D for the first time in 8 or 10 days, and I have to admit that I really didn't like it! Stutters that I used to ignore were now so annoying, and I couldn't believe how bad the buildings looked.

I cut bait on P3D entirely for X-Plane 11 a couple of years ago. X-plane looked and performed better without the the premium tax on my favorite add-ons. The prices were getting out of hand. I now have spent more on X-plane add-ons than P3D and FSX combined, plus a ton of freeware and east to create Ortho. However, I have an eye on MS2020 and will be evaluating what it brings to the table verses X-plane brings in response. I have no problem using both sims if both offer what I want, and I have no problem leaving a sim and all my past purchases behind if it doesn't.

Streaming does not always mean subscription. Anyway, who cares? the market will decide in the end! And besides, we have X-Plane 11 right now and it is awesome! I cannot begin to fathom X-Plane 12.
