SDK coming very soon - "Open platform" - "in game store most likely happening" (optionally - not required)

Guys - we are getting it ALL

Yea staring at a single monitor is fine because my peripheral vision still sees stationary things. However, when I have multiple monitors surrounding me or VR, I don't have that "anchor point" and it basically isn't aligning with my inner ear.

I feel for you. I got sick at first. I started using VR since the Oculus DK1. That was horrible VR back then. Keep going if you can.

Thanks! Yea I'll probably try it again. VR is kind of why I got a 1080ti in the first place.

Edit: Maybe I'm interpreting your post incorrectly. I took it to mean that VR is a current development priority, which isn't correct.

That is a mischaracterization of what they actually said. The relevant bit starts at 6:40.

They said there wasn't (and still isn't) a plan for VR, but they're "looking at it" because it was at the top of the feature request list.

And for anyone keeping score, seasons are the second most requested feature. The relevant bit starts at 16:40 for the full answer, or 18:15 for the tl;dr version.

Both of these things will be added eventually. The question is one of priority, and neither are actively being worked on.

I believe you are correct.  I have not seen or heard that they made a formal commitment to VR, They, in fact, said they cannot commit at this time. They only acknowledged that it was a top request with seasons coming in second.

Winner winner chicken dinner! And that was before we started the VR thread. We just need to convince others. I wish I could demonstrate to them, but they might swipe my stuff. 😁

Incorrect they got that from the forum as we thought what was in FSX would be in MSFS we did not know that they were dropping stuff from FS, they will bring VR to the sim for the trike you don't need an aircraft for VR better all-round view😎

You are sadly correct. There is no commitment at this time.

They are adding traffic to the water/oceans also.

The wind impacts the clouds, the water - oh my goodness

This is just incredible

I hope they fix the ground traffic. the B-roll video of traffic was horrid because the cars were jittery/shuddering and disappearing. Worse than FSX/P3D, but it looked like they are using the same code.

I wonder if they'll include police cars with flashing blue/red lights chasing at higher speeds.  I am always looking out for these in X-plane.
