Something odd with soaring FSX

Featured Replies

Watch the soaring missions video on FSX site:http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimul...sharedSkies.htmIMHO, wings create lift in flight. They first lift their own weight and then the weight of the whole aircraft. So it appeared quite odd to me that the wings 'hang' while in flight. I hope this will be corrected in the final version. If anything the wings are way too flexible - compared with RL - the DG808S has very stiff carbon fibre wings -it's a little unrealistic from what I have seen so far. God only knows why they choose the DG808S anyway - one of the the least popular 18m class sailplanes in RL. Better than the 2-32 though I suppose.

Very cool pictures. Is that a vapor trail coming off in the second picture? But why is the trail off of those points and not off of the wing tips? Or is it a smoke generator?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)
