Reviews on Simmarket are a bit mixed regarding the comparisons with the Xtreme version - just wondering if anyone has got it yet ?

Apparently, it's due a small update any day soon to correct a few afcad issues.

I am embarrassed to admit that I have forgotten his username, but he was always saying how disappointed he was with UK2000 airports, and how he could not wait for the JennaSoft version of Gatwick to be released.

I have looked at the screenshots of this product on SimMarket, but I am not sure what to think. Some textures look very nice, but others I am not so sure about.....and the grass colour looks rather strange.

Was thinking the same.. also I could not confirm if it has PBR? I might buy it in exchange for the UK2000 only if PBR was implemented.

Only joking. I also have a drone and I'm very responsible and fly it safely, only morons fly them dangerously and without due care for others nearby.

No im here.  Proformance wise it's fantastic, way better than the uk2000 version, 

However Afcad wise it's absolutely awful.  

I believe one of the guys at ai alpha group is redoing the afcad, and the developer is going to release a patch which the product definitely needs as it's been released unfinished, as is the current trend these days. 

Once the new afcad has been done and a bit it's been tidyied up it will be a fantastic product, way better than Gary's old dated dross. 

Oh and yes I've been based at Gatwick many years, and I never had a drone. 

We used to have a game when I was cabin crew at Gatwick called 'fluffyflops' everytime you made a pa to the punters you have to get the word 'fluffyflops' into it somehow.. Oh halcyon days

This scenery has a lot of potential, and if developer will deliver as promised, then it is flyable in a short time. Currently, I have suspended ops to Gatwick, because it has some pretty major flaws.

ILS DME does not exist, PAPI's will make you crash short of runway, taxiway signs are missing, gate number are made up, afcad is terrible, most gates are missing SODE jetways, textures don't match ORBX.

Once those are fixed, it will be a great scenery and is definitely worth the upgrade over the aging UK2000 offering. Not that UK2000 is bad, but it morally and technically outdated at this point.
