having a "gamepass" subscription will do exactly what it is designed to, provide access to online play and to streamed scenery.

I'll talk to you this once to correct something you've been saying over and over erroneously. Online multiplayer access is granted via XBOX LIVE on Xbox consoles. A Xbox Live subscription is not required for mp on the PC platform.

The OP

I'm sorry, how on earth is that proof against that? Oh yeah of course, because it's Mr. Sparks. They haven't announced pricing either, by Mr Spark's caluclations, MSFS is going to cost ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

Plus the gamepass FAQ

Games will not be deleted from your hard drive until you delete them, even if they have been removed from the Xbox Game Pass catalog. However, once a game leaves the Xbox Game Pass catalog, you’ll need to purchase a digital copy from the Xbox (Beta) app or the Microsoft Store, play from a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to continue playing the game.

Xbox Game Pass does not support third-party stores such as Steam on PC.  We recommend you enjoy your membership through the Xbox (Beta) app.

If you purchase DLC and add-ons for a game that later leaves the catalog, your DLC and add-ons will not be removed. However, to continue playing the DLC and add-ons, you’ll need to purchase a digital copy of the game from the Xbox (Beta) app or the Microsoft Store, play from a disc, or obtain another form of entitlement to continue playing the game.

SDK = DLC and add-ons, code will require signing and payment to microsoft.

the "Xbox (Beta) app." is what locks it down and makes modding impossible.

And we're still waiting for your evidence that it'll be a Gamepass required title, not just an optional way of acquiring the product. You seem to be pushing the narrative that Gamepass is somehow required for all sorts of things, on top of the full purchase yet you've not even quoted a single line that alludes to that fact. Plus, it makes no sense.

Jörg Neumann, Flight Simulator head, saying exactly that isn't enough evidence for you?

Quote me the line

Ah, so you can't actually quote me a line, now you want me to look on the official website and then you quote me a Spanish line, you can't be bothered translating, that says it will be A PART OF Gamepass, which we've known since the release trailer where it said that. Has NOTHING to do with being mandatory. So more obfuscation and lies from Mr. Sparks. Who could have seen it coming.

The funny part about this post is that it straight up proves his claim about requiring a subscription for online play wrong.

Do I need Xbox Live Gold to play online multiplayer games on PC?

No. There’s no additional charge to play online multiplayer games on PC. You will, however, need a wired or wireless internet connection to play online.

100% never said any such thing, in fact I said the exact opposite. It must be purchased, it is a gamepass title.

inventing things other people never said and then arguing against them is pretty bad form.

Ah huh

"having a "gamepass" subscription will do exactly what it is designed to, provide access to online play and to streamed scenery."

Don't see anyone inventing anything.

You requiring online play and streamed scenery is not the same as requiring a subscription to start it without online play and streamed scenery.

You buy the simulator, subscribe to online play (just like any other current XBOX or PS4 title) and streamed scenery (flight 2020s poster child to sell gamepass subscriptions)

Its really not that complicated.
