You requiring online play and streamed scenery is not the same as requiring a subscription to start it without online play and streamed scenery.

Honestly, what are you even trying to say at this point, it's the most cryptic nonsense you keep coming up with. At this point I can't figure out if its poor mastering of the English language or obfuscation on purpose, because you are being called out for your lies and errors in your arguments left and right, you just try to confuse every party involved. The former could explain why you seem to misread every single quote and interview posted here though.

So you're saying Gamepass is somehow required to play online. But now it's not required to play online when you get called out for it. Now the subscription you talked about, which is Gamepass, is now another subscription to even start the sim without access to online and streamed terrain? It's hieroglyphs at this point you're posting.

EDIT: So in your new edit, you propose you need to buy the full sim, Gamepass AND Xbox Live now?! It's just getting worse with you. Would also be nice if you at least knew the names and functions of the services you are talking about.

A gamepass subscription will be required for online play.

Perhaps easier for you if I fill in the blanks Neumann left out of the interview in the OP

Quote

If you have no connection at all [or no gamepass subscription], the simulator will generate the world, with trees, cities, mountains and others. Now, if you have an Internet connection [and a gamepass subscription], the simulator will balance the level of detail of the terrain according to the speed you have. [with a gamepass subscription] It will have twenty different levels of realism, depending on the available bandwidth. It is like streaming video, which has more or less resolution according to the speed of the connection.

LN:-If I want to have access to the maps and all the features, do I have to use the Game Pass model?

Neumann-Do not.

LN-What is the difference between the two marketing models?

Neumann:-The subscription is for those who want to have access to other games for Xbox or PC.

eing online. Has nothing to do with a subscription! Gamepass has NOTHING to do with playing online

Gamepass for PC is the "ticket" to access Microsoft's subscription services (their new business model), delivered by the "XBOX for PC App", that includes online play (increasingly monopolised since the demise of GameSpy) and soon their bing scenery streaming service for microsoft flight.

I can't tell if you are being intentionally obtuse trying to provoke a reaction, or if it really is just to hard for you to understand.

No, again, you have absolutely no clue how these systems work. Gamepass is not some magical required ticket, it's a game 'rental' service, nothing more. If you buy say, Halo on Steam, you can play without Xbox Live, without an active Gamepas subscription. It is NOT REQUIRED TO PLAY ONLINE. Only if you decide to have a Gamepass subscription do you need to get your games through Microsoft's own service, which again, has nothing to do with playing online, just access to the game itself. Has zero relation or comparison to Gamespy.

And would you look at that, in the quote above you, Neumann confirming you DO NOT need Gamepass for ANY features in MSFS, exactly opposite of what you claimed and couldn't back up. Surprise surprise.

At this point you are completely making things up. Gamepass is only about acquiring access to games and has nothing to do with online play. Xbox Live is Microsoft's online service and has been clearly pointed out, the Gold subscription level is not required to play any current or future PC games online. You are confusing two different services, again.

Yes, a tier where you get both Gamepass and Xbox Live Gold for a higher price. It's literally just access to two services. Has NOTHING to do with with all your wrong information and misunderstanding of services in this thread. For someone who's so invested and keen on discussing this subject, you lack even the most basic fundamental understanding how their services work and what they offer.

That actually isnt the plan tho.

Going forward Microsoft do not plan on releasing both XBOX Games and PC games.

There will be XBOX games you can also play on a windows 10 PC with the XBOX App. Of which Flight 2020 is a major part.

XBOX (Beta) App is the preparation for this.

Gents, please read and heed this guidance for you from Forum Administration.

There's a difference between a lie and getting something wrong.  Telling someone you think they got something wrong is OK...calling them a liar is not.

Attacking the person rather than the point the other person is making, aka ad hominem attacks, comments like "you don't have a clue" and name-calling such as calling people trolls is not OK.

We don't intend to close down threads like this with raucous discussions of all those things that can be speculated on or read into every syllable of every interview and every frame of every update video.  But we are about ready to start slapping sanctions on people that behave in our forums like they think it's a Kindergarten playground.  Discuss, argue, but do it respectfully and get away from the name-calling and personal attacks.

So dial it back, folks, or plan on taking some time off away from our site.
