January 5, 20206 yr Nothing new but Im surpriced that this issue exists still (P3Dv4.5 ht2). It concerns shadows below clouds (if this option is ticked in settings) especially. In some angle with the same postion shadows are present and at some angles not. Similar topic was on LM Forum: https://prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=125862 Any idea how to solve it? Is it possible to do something with this without turn off shadows below clouds? 😉 This is not my video but I talk about this: Edited January 5, 20206 yr by YoYo Webmaster of yoyosims.pl.Win 10 64, i9 9900k, RTX 3090 24Gb, RAM32Gb, SSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5 [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: HP Reverb G2
January 6, 20206 yr That is one of those "issues" that will most probably never be resolved, as it is a compromise between having cloud shadows but not a all to big performance impact. Means: for certain angles the engine "thinks" cloud shadows are anyway not seen, they are simply not rendered. The bug exists since cloud shadows were introduced... Short: you can do nothing about this. Sadly... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

April 16, 20206 yr I haven't seen the issue on my flight in the 777 from KORD to KLAS but maybe with no weather I'm not seeing as many shadows as I should. Sean Green
