It's all over the news and papers and nobody gets offended.

Is this some of the communist style of controlling the news?

Very disappointing and discouraging to see this type of controlling the news.

Well, not really.  We actually do have standards here. 

I think the issue with the original AOL article was the comments section just below the article, visible without having to explicitly open it, and full of the usual unregulated internet trollage spewing foul language.

Just woke up from a very long nap and apologize for the delay in responding.  The reason I removed the thread was because of the following quote in the AOL article: 

“This is such a s**t show,” one employee wrote to another on a chat system in mid-2018.

“Totally,” a colleague replied, “I’ll be shocked if the FAA passes this t**d.”

I do not know why AOL author decided to put that into his/her article.  I was hoping you would have posted another related article w/o the four-letter words.  I think links to other websites are an extension of the AVSIM web pages.  Now, "s**t" is not all that bad but it is a word that is not allowed on AVSIM.  Certainly you could have found another link about this story that did not contain words we ban on AVSIM.  For instance, here's another article that did not include the four letter words - https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/09/business/boeing-documents/index.html

Before I make a link to an article, I make sure it is not filled with inappropriate/banned words on AVSIM and, if it does, I do not link it or will find a similar article or summarize the article in my OP. 

I hope this explains why I removed the link.

To add, I'm not too excited about the title too. 

I understand the first part but what you forget is that those are "Quotes" from other people, it's not a conversation taking place between any of the sim members that use foul language addressed at each other.

When news brake they call it whatever they want and nobody cares about our excitement.

I'm afraid that this is not the first time when you get excited or not and kind of jumps on conclusions.

This is not the same AVSIM that I know anymore. 

Minds-well block all the forums and is just you guys run and answer all the topics without fear of saying something and base of excitement.
