>You better not disappoint Andre. If you succeed in this.. I>am sure you would have a job waiting for you at MS.>>:(>>>>MannyI'm just trying my own tweaks and texture adjustments for performance reasons...But hey I want to have better looks as FS9 ;-)Think the default FSX texture at 1m are great but large in size ;-) ready for DX10 with better bandwith support for larger textures ;-)But as for now I want to have a great performance and looks bcz when the add-on stuff arrives we need every FPS to stay around 25 / 30 fps lol...Just testing and hope that several settings and changes will work...At least see FPS between 70 and 130 FPS lol...Going to test some more and if it works for me happy to share ;-)Andr

The 1m texture's as your post shows are beyond good, if that shot was in fs9 the aircraft would look more real than the scenery belowNot now:)And even even better they dont seem to have an impact FSP wiseI tried 2m and 5M textures resolution with almost no change in FPS.John

"if that shot was in fs9 the aircraft would look more real than the scenery below"That's the difference that FS9 looks like a computer rendered image whereas FSX looks like a photo shot.

The demo seems to run fine its the relase everybody is having trouble with.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/158311.jpgthis is whats driving people over the edge what happened from the last demo to the release? 100+ fps is no problem in the demo.

>Still testing have some adjustments later for ya guys...>This is demo the beta left my HD so waiting for my deluxe>version ;-)>After it's tweaked I will let ya know with autogen normal>settings...>>So if it's the same with RT version I will updated ya back to>testing...>>http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y156/awf1/Untitled-1-3.jpg>>Andr

>>this is whats driving people over the edge what happened from>the last demo to the release? 100+ fps is no problem in the>demo. That's simple. It's because the demo has lots of water and just a few islands.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc.

keep it up! Cant wait to hear!

These screen shots look quite 2D. How about a screen shot with a bit of sky, autogen showing in 3D, pointed towards a city in the distance with a dash of weather thrown in.Gary

So! What's up doc?I bumped this just to keep it near sight.I'd be quite happy if if could maintain half what he gets ... in forward view that is :-)Hugo

Im also very interested, anything to get more ouf of the game, FPS that is cause it's really slow at the moment so im curious what we can do to tweak it some more.

Well I'm doing not bad with the tweeks already suggested on Demo2. 18-24+ fps on my P4 3.0 1GB, AGP GeForce TI4200!! with autogens set high, mesh 38m, all traffic slider about 30%.Wouldn't mind a little beefup though ;-)Yea I know. Video card! Though I run max sliders on FS9. Plans to get a better one although not the latest one, in ATI 850 order but preferabaly an NVidia (more reliable I think) and possibly 1GB ram more. If anyone's on the maket for an upgrade and got a good agp vid card available, I'm on the market preferably in Canada. I don't see this move before november 15. But I want to push my present system to its limit first, then I'll see.Have no new puter change in mind for short or medium term. It would meam $2000+ min for a Vista, DX10, DX10 vid card and probably 4GB ram. Out of my reach! Ya know, budget talks and more so when retired ;-)Hugo
