February 22, 20206 yr Hello! I have already asked this on Aerosoft forum but I haven't got any answer yet so I decided to post it on AVSIM if someone has a trick/answer here. My CRJ Pro started to stutter a day ago. A have 15FPS in the cockpit with a very bad stuttering. It starts when I turn on the ground power (AC power, also happes with APU). When remaining four MFDs come alive my FPS drops from 30-40FPS to 15FPS with bad stuttering. This is the problem with MFD displays. If I disable FO side frame rate rises to 20FPS and if I also disable the captain side it rises to 30-40FPS. CRJ Pro was working completely fine few days ago. I had the same problem less than a month ago. I did a CRJ reinstall, P3D v4 reinstall and nothing helped. I bought a NVME SSD less months ago and I decided not to move (clone) the old SSD to NVME but to reinstall whole Windows 10 and P3D and start from the beginning because that should 100% fix the problem - and it did! But it was a pain to reinstall all addons, reconfigure whole system, P3D ... And now I have the same problem and complete Windows 10 reinstall is not an option for me because it is very time consuming to have the CRJ working properly for less than a month. All other planes are working perfectly. The problem also exists while in the outside view - frame rate is dropping to 15FPS and rising to 80FPS every second. I have just reinstalled my P3D and CRJ and I also deleted the .cfg file and there is no difference. It is also interesting that frame rate stays at 15FPS even if in move all settings sliders to full left position. The only thing I did before this problem started is installing an Air Manager Plugin that connects P3D and Air Manager software (home cockpit gauges for my C172 home cockpit project) together but I am sure that this should not cause this problem. I also reinstalled the plugin (deleting the .dll and removing an entry in dll.xml file) and it did't fix it. February 22, 20206 yr Commercial Member Starting off basic...Have you got any anti virus software running ?
February 22, 20206 yr Author I disabled it and then also deleted it (Avast) I7-10700 (4.8 GHz with HT enabled) 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC Gaming

February 22, 20206 yr Author I disabled it and made no difference. CRJ was working perfectly few days ago. Edited February 22, 20206 yr by Branimir I7-10700 (4.8 GHz with HT enabled) 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC Gaming
February 23, 20206 yr Have you tried loading a default plane and then the crj? Granted I have a bad fluctuation problem too with this plane. It’s been reported but still no fix.
February 23, 20206 yr Author I have just tried loading a AC11 Commander and then CRJ900 with no luck 😞 I7-10700 (4.8 GHz with HT enabled) 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC Gaming
February 24, 20206 yr Unfortunately I think the best chance of getting this fixed is when/if it gets ported to MSFS. Then there will probably be a new crop of problems/bugs.

You said you simply reinstalled the plugin -- I would get it out of there and re-test -- that's the only way to know for sure. February 27, 20206 yr Author I made a mistake in my post, I didn't reinstall it but I uninstalled it. I7-10700 (4.8 GHz with HT enabled) 2x16GB DDR4 3600MHz Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC Gaming

What I would do next is, when I'm getting good fps, open Task Manager, Processes tab. Take note of the cpu usages you're seeing there, and what apps are using the cpu. Now when you get the low fps conditions, open Task Manager, Processes tab. See what is using the cpu now. You might see something different. This may give you a clue as to what is eating your cpu cycles -- because something obviously is. It's possible that your language settings, or comma settings in Windows 10 (or whatever Win you're using) are affecting how the CRJ loads the charts (?) I wonder what would happen if you switched to English and decimal for currency etc. settings. You may have one of the outlier cases of Navigraph and the CRJ which haven't been caught yet. You may want to run what I just mentioned by Hans (the developer). It's worth a shot anyway. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

This is the video of switching AC power on and off: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTqlISNIesU GPU usage is going from 30% to 17% when turning ground power ON and this is when all screens come alive. I went to Control panel and opened region settings and changed comma setting from (,) to (.). There is still no difference. I don't use navigraph or any other chart tool. And thank you for all the help so far. Yesterday I did a full Windows 10 reinstall because someone on Aerosoft forum suggested that turning nVidia image sharpening to off fixes his problem. But I was having an issue that I wasn't able to run any "UWP" Windows 10 apps. I wasn't able to open nVidia control panel since it is a UWP app. Windows 10 reinstall fixed the issue. I reinstalled my P3D, CRJ, all other addons... I didn't make a flight but CRJ was running fine again. Today I started P3D and loaded the CRJ and now I have the same problem. There was a Windows update yesterday before I shut down my PC at the end of the day. Its weird that it stays at 15FPS even if I move all sliders to full left. EDIT: I found aout that there was a process called WebHelper right under the P3D process that was using the CPU quite a lot. I killed it and there is still no difference. March 2, 20206 yr That's very strange. I made a test and I don't experience this with CRJ Pro. I also didn't reinstall Windows for about 3 years now. It's pretty obvious that something happens when you turn AC power ON. Aerosoft or Hans himself should know what goes on behind the scenes and should be able to be more helpful. You need to open a support ticket to get any help from them though. On your screenshots I see Xbox Game Bar. If you have this enabled, disable it (in Windows settings) and try without. I found out that if I have it enabled I get stutters and all kind of problems in P3D. On the other hand I can't really imagine how would that cause your issues. Also, I see you have all kinds of addons installed like ChasePlane, couatl,.. and software like Avast, TeamSpeak, MSI Afterburner,.. if you actually did a full Windows 10 reinstall, you should try with a process of elimination - first you should install just P3D and CRJ. Do a flight or two. Than start adding other addons and software and see where it goes wrong. That's really the only sure way if there's an issue with some addon or software. I know you said the problem returned when Windows got the latest update - this almost certainly can't be the issue - for one, you were having the same problem before the Windows reinstall and we all got the same updates - as long we're not talking about some hardware specific updates! March 2, 20206 yr Author I tried to deactivate all addons (renaming all dll.xml, exe.xml files, renaming the P3D Addons folder, ChasePlane ...) and I also uninstalled Avast and disable the XBOX game bar and still no difference. Tomorrow I will scan my PC for viruses to see if there are any malicious processes running and eating up my CPU. There are also other users on Aerosoft forums problem that have almost the same issue but nobody knows what is causing it.
