Place an announcement for the fund drive at the top of each forum and put a banner, indicating need, how much has been raised, how you can donate and a link to the donation page. This site does incredibly little to advertise the need for donations, but every time it is suggested that we do more, well... April 12, 20206 yr Author Avsimmers, It has been a month since I started posting donation requests. On March 13: Guys, Avsim is on 7% of the requested $25 000.00 (for the last week)!! That's a total of $1 705.00 donated so far. Whereas Sim-Outhouse has reached 82% of it's requested $10 000.00! with a total of $8 210.00 donated. Today: 12 April AVSIM: 11% of target - $2,650.00 received donations, $945.00 donated in a month SOH: 101% of target - $10,030.00 received donations, $1790.00 donated in a month!! Avsim is reputably (by it's members) regarded as THE virtual aviation site to go to.. Very interesting that a site that is less than half the size of AVSIM, has almost doubled the recieved donations.
