March 19, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hmmm...Question...is your PMDG hydraulic system on or off during the pushback?..just asking because this also affects the pushback. Maybe we can get some help from RW1 that seems to be working fine, maybe its a PMDG difference in configuration before pushback?...since it's weird its working with Bryan's and RW1's NGXU models
March 19, 20206 yr Commercial Member Good point... ensure there's no hydraulic pressure in the nose wheel. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 19, 20206 yr In accordance with before start procedure, hydraulic pumps are on before Pushback, that is why the bypass pin is installed. I use FS2Crew and the FO puts the hydraulic pumps in his before start procedure.
March 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member To rule out some weird scenery issue, try it at one of my test airports: RKPC Gate G1 I have the engines running and all hydraulics are on. Pushback went fine for me. We're firing the "brakes" every second to ensure the pushback is smooth (ensure brake option checked in the Options for the NGXU). Do you see "Brakes" flash on the bottom of the screen every second or so during the pushback? If not, are you running anything that somehow suppresses the brakes command (usually the period key on your keyboard)? Edited March 20, 20206 yr by byork B. March 20, 20206 yr Did pushback at RKPC Gate G1 and it was smooth except for the turn. That was a bit jerky until the pushback session straighten up.Did see the"brake" every second during pushback (brake option checked in the Options for the NGXU). However, the problems seem to be with my addon scenery e.g TTPP, KJFK, KBOS and CYYZ.
March 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member What happens if you pushback a default plane at TTPP or KJFK? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 20, 20206 yr Just caught up here, I`ve done several flights now and confirm i have a few small glitches, NGXu 900 is smooth in a straight line so my previous post was correct, however turning seems to be very erratic(same as first problem). I will test some more at default airports. Towing from the UA Maintenance hangar at KSFO to gate 63 was done backwards in a straight line... lol, i re-ran the scenery cfg several times and made sure i did`nt have conflicting afcads.
March 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member Please triple confirm the "Use Brakes" option is ticked in the Aircraft Profile prior to starting. I just tested it and the NGX-U was very smooth through the whole turn and pushback. And I'm currently running P3D V4 with the NGXu on a non-gaming laptop (with sliders down), so it's obviously not a computing power issue 🙂 B. March 20, 20206 yr I am using P3D v4.5 with NGXu 2.91.0122. However, I accomplished Pushback sequence with PMDG B777-200 at TTPP on Gate 5 and there was no problems. It was smooth from start to finish and also in the turns. Also saw the brakes flashing in the lower corner of the screen. I suggest however that the ramp agent should be adjusted so you can see when he shows the brake sign. He is under the aircraft and cannot be seen.
March 20, 20206 yr Commercial Member Hi Nissan, Sounds like you're making a custom route. As per the manual and the videos, the place where the ramper makes the "X" sign is wherever you define the "pushback point" in the custom route. So maybe move the pushback point further away. I'll let Manual add more details if required. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 21, 20206 yr I`m using P3d 4.5 plus HF, Just have FSUIPC mapped and the tiller is setup via an axis on my Hotas, Yeah it`s peculiar to the NGXu, I`ve tested the QW 787 and Aerosoft Airbus but they all turn smoothly, All my boxes are ticked and i`m seeing the Brake msg flash. Regardless of hydraulic pressure charged or not it behaves the same, smooth in a straight line and jerky on the turns, both default airports and custom. I have not tried a custom pushback!
March 21, 20206 yr Commercial Member Can you try disabling your custom tiller as test in the NGXU. It sounds like your tiller is fighting UGCX in the turn. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
March 21, 20206 yr Hi Bryan, I'm using tiller as well, tried to disable it completely and still having problems with the turns. Everything is OK when going om a straight line and I do see the brakes message on the bottom left. Edited March 21, 20206 yr by Almog Atar Almog Atar
