Maybe "they" lied??   How many cores to that CPU and does it have turbo mode?  Do you have anything set in your FSX.cfg for Affinity mask?

- 8th Gen Intel Hexa-Core i7-8750H Processor 2.2GHz Up to 4.1GHz Turbo Boost
- RAM 32GB DDR4 2666MHz (Up to 32GB)
- HDD 1TB 5400rpm + 256GB SSD M.2 NVMe

the main problem when the view is towards the terminal building framerate can drop to 11 or worse. But when it facing towards another(not terminal bulding ) it is very smooth~ up to 60

It sounds fairly normal, especially if it's a payware or addon airport.  I'm lucky to get 4 or 5 FPS at any major airport, especially with any amount of AI traffic.

Also "Up To" will probably mean hardly ever due to heat it will throttle as soon as it get hot and laptops have a problem with that, much like ISP`s giving "UP TO" a speed you will never get.

It's a laptop.  It uses a mobile processor.  Mobile processors run at much lower clock speeds than their desktop counterparts due to heat and power constraints.  The spec list even tells you that the base clock of this CPU is 2.2GHZ, literally half the base clock speed of a desktop CPU such as the 9900k (4.7GHz all-core Turbo).

Question answered.

Next time, don't buy a laptop to run simulators, as they are highly dependent on CPU clock speed.

FSX is not very good optimized and it doesn't take advantage of multiple cores. Your system is fine and don't listen to people who say you can't run sim on a laptop. There are gaming laptops than beat desktops now; such as Asus 4900h with 9 cores and 32 gb ram and rtx video cards.

Gaming Laptop:
MSI GS75 Stealth 5.6GHz Intel Core i9 - 10th gen 16 core CPU  -  32 GB DDR4 SDRAM  - 1TB SSD - RTX 2080 Super - 1920x1080 - 3 fans and cooling pipes.

Everything is wrong with that statement.

FSX does take advantage of multicores and has been since SP1, infact I applied an affinity mask to mine so as to have at least one core that FSX wasn't maxing out @ 100%.

Gaming laptops will never beat a well built gaming desktop, there is simply not the space nor power and cooling capacity in a laptop.

If there was to be then the laptop would be the size of a desktop...

Not to say there is not some good laptops coming onto the market.

Cheers

Since you seem to be so knowledgable, why not help the OP get his "beast" running FSX to his liking? 👍

Heh, you're funny...

I especially liked the comment re: the 9 core Ryzen

Which airplane, view and airport are you using? It depends a lot on how have you set up FSX. My rig is weaker, but I don't have any addon sceneries, and I can handle some FPS heavy aircraft with almost no issues (PMDG, iFly, Aerosoft)....
