April 14, 20206 yr Can any of you gurus put together some foolproof instructions on how to migrate from v4 to v5 ? What I 'd like to do is: 1) install v5 2) import anything and everything I can safely import into v5 3) delete v4.5 Thanks in advance
April 14, 20206 yr Best bet is use the addons which are external to P3D4.5. Those have high tendency to work (and save time). Wait for installers from PMDG etc. First install V5 See its folder structure and then see does it pick up the external addons by default or you have to move them to another directory (I doubt it) We all will know when it is released. How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)

April 14, 20206 yr I never trust half measures where installations are concerned. I prefer to start from scratch, and do it "by the book". Now this requires that you enable back up or keep the ORBX folder in tact and just drop the folder where it belongs. Let's wait for P3D v5 to be released. Edited April 14, 20206 yr by DJJose MSFS
