May 1, 20206 yr OH GREAT!! Imgbb website is no longer free image hosting site. I have to look for new image hosting site for free for my FSX pics. That makes THIRD fiascos after Photobucket extortion scheme and FS Files website failure. Anybody got a good idea for free unlimited image hosting site with extremely reliable reputation, please ?? I have to continue publishing my screenshots Regards, Aharon
May 1, 20206 yr Aharon, Ever since photobuck..ripoff I've been using imgur for all my screenshot threads. Check it out and see if it is right for you. I just upload images, grab the code so I can insert into the AVSIM post and no problem.. https://imgur.com/ Typical upload screen: https://imgur.com/upload Mark Robinson Part-time Ferroequinologist Author of FLIGHT: A near-future short story (ebook available on amazon) I made the baby cry - A2A Simulations L-049 Constellation Sky Simulations MD-11 V2.2 Pilot. May 1, 20206 yr Yup, when photobucket turned into an overpriced affair, I switched to imgur. Not had any problems with that. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 1, 20206 yr I haven’t used imgur but I use Flickr and it will give you a coded format for imbed images to export easily. Easy to use lots of storage and free. Brian Thibodeaux | B747-400/8, C-130 Flight Engineer, CFI, Type Rated: BE190, DC-9 (MD-80), B747-400 My Liveries
May 2, 20206 yr Author I do not like Imgur because when I upload my screenshots containing specific file names into Imgur, the website change my file names to some sort of scrambled file names making it impossible for me to identify each of my screenshots to put explanations on each of screenshots. My screenshots have specific file names for identification purposes. For example, file name BR14KTPA tells me that the screenshot shows plane flying over KPTA airport and BR stands for the airport of arrival. Another example is filename PH9SARO. This tells me that the screenshot shows the plane intercepting SARO waypoint and PH tells me that the airport of arrival is Edinburgh. And so on. When IMGUR scrambles the file names, I cannot identity my screenshots and cannot write descriptions on each of my screenshots. Regards, Aharon
May 2, 20206 yr Ah, sorry about that Aharon. I'd never noticed about imgur scrambling the names because I just grab them and insert them into the post almost straight after I've done a flight, thus I do not need to keep track. May 3, 20206 yr Moderator I had a free account at Imageshack for over a decade, but since switching to "ShareX" I have never used Imageshack. In fact I can't even remember my login details any longer! ShareX is fast and free. It allows me via assorted hot-keys to grab full or partial screens, or even span both monitors on my dev desk. I recently discovered that it will create animated GIF files on demand, or even record MP4 videos. In every case it will automatically generate a hot link I can share instantly. It also saves everything to your systems hard drive in a monthly dated folder system. Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

The real MAGIC is ShareX, a very clever free screenshot program! https://getsharex.com/ Quote ShareX is a free and open source program that lets you capture or record any area of your screen and share it with a single press of a key. It also allows uploading images, text or other types of files to many supported destinations you can choose from. Fr.
