FS9+Addons vs. FSX+Tweaks Part II

Featured Replies

I just want to add that I've piloted a 172 in Key West in real life and the colors in FSX are as I remember.

Is that water effect at x2? X2 kills my FPS. I've applied some of the most popular tweaks and the FPS aren't too bad but they are not as good as yours. What are the tweaks you've done so far? Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Both visiting KEYW in real life and checking it out on Google Maps makes me think it should be much greener, see [a href=http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=de&q=key+west,+fl&ie=UTF8&z=15&ll=24.555945,-81.786304&spn=0.028573,0.051584&t=k&om=1]satellite view[/a].Still FSX looks better overall. ;)Regards,http://www.bremmekamp.com/img/misc/avsim.jpg

Hi: I am at 2x low for water. The tweaks are the ones set out here http://www.fox-fam.com/wordpress/?page_id=41Nice sat pic-possible I could get fsx closer with a seasonal change.

In the second pic you see a distinct border where the water gets another distinct darker color. Why? I could see it with watersetting 2x but it was gone at 1x high. That water band in the distanse reminds me somewhat about the darker colored squares in FS9. And they appear when you raise the water slider.

What aircraft are you flying in these pics?

The distinct boarder is actually the plane's VC canopy. This is the SF260. Water colour at different locations and times (especially Key West) is actually one of the more impressive features.

Double post

some great pics. Sure would appreciate if you could let us know your system specs. Thanks, carl
