Hi Cookies lover 🙂
Aren't these two sentences contradictory?
I mean if you set your textures size to 1024 how can you get a 4K VC?

Actually in P3D there is another setting in the prepar3d.cfg which states VC texture is set to 4096 by default.

Can you please guide me, I don't find this entry.
Thanks 😉

Edit: fount it in the PANEL section!

I would recommend not edit that - that way you always get hi res VC and outside you can do 1024.

Yep. But that only works for native 4K panels.
Here is an A2A plane with 1024.
Gauges are barely readable.

Oh you have 11gb video card - you should put the textures back to 2048 or 4096.  You have headroom

I thought A2A birds have hi texture VC option - like nomips installer.  I have it for the Bonanza.

You could also try turning off MIPS in the Gui section of Graphics

Gonna bring my old thread back.

Definitely weird things are happening with 5.1.

Can anyone confirm Texture Exp setting is working?  I even tried 11 on my 8gb card.  It is like the tweak isn't working in 5.1.  What did LM do?  I need the tweak to push the card.

Setting of 10 is max on my card, with 11 it is working like normal.  I don't see any changes and vram is same as before texture_exp tweak.  Texture_Exp of 11 should vrOOM my card.

As P3D is evolving some tweaks might not work anymore ...

I am not getting the push with autogen before.  I am very sad.  I really want that tweak to work.  I must be doing something wrong on my end.  Have to see all of this after I come home later tonite

Oh I saw my mistake.  I forgot to drag Orbx Socal where as in my setting it is there.  With Global+openLC everything was already pushed.  Regardless, LM has done some major improvements in texture loading in 5.1.  Just waiting for 5.1HF1

Actually if you look at Prepar3d.cfg there is a line which is already set to 4096 the VC textures

MAX_VC_TEXTURE_RESOLUTION=4096 (this is already there).

Also I just tested my tweaks as mentioned in post 1 of this thread.  All works yay.

I´am using your settings since your first thread and can confirm it´s working well with 5.1 (EA off). I have the textures set to 2048 with my 8 Gb card and have no issues sor far. But because i´am using a hardware Homecockpit it can come from that i don´t need panels to be rendered on my view. 👍
