May 23, 20206 yr Hi all, I have transitioned to P3Dv5 and installed all my add-ons that have P3Dv5 versions so far. The thing is, I don't think I can get to like P3Dv5 colors. If I use enhanced atmospherics, the colors look orangish. Like there is an orange filter everywhere. If I not use enhanced atmospherics, colors look too bluish. I am currently evaluated if the performance over v4.5 after I've installed many add-ons and I can't exclude the possibility to revert back to 4.5. What do you think? Do you like P3Dv5 colors over v4.5 ? May 23, 20206 yr I like the overall look with EA although dusk and dawn are too colorful in my view. But I think it's just a question of getting the shader tweaks to work with EA. Currently, you can also try v5 without truesky but with Envtex/Envshade. This can look really good. Hans
May 23, 20206 yr I backed the colours off quite a bit in terms of saturation using the lighting sliders in P3D's options, but that didn't quite offer enough control to get things exactly where I wanted them, so I also messed around a bit with the colour temperature in the AMD Radeon software for my GPU. It looks pretty okay now. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 23, 20206 yr thats the problem with monitors and tv's, there is no standard that can be assured. Everyone is different. You more or less are left to figure out adjustments yourself, as to whether you need to adjust or how to adjust. Be it your monitor or finding a fix from someone else (shaders) that gets you the look you expect to see. I had to revert a little of all methods. (monitor calibration, color adjustment and shaders from envitex.) Heck, it was same for 4.5! May 23, 20206 yr Author Enhanced atmospherics look better to me that if I don't use the option, however still there is a orange hue. Am I the only one who sees that? May 24, 20206 yr I like it so long as we are taking AE. With AE off with any shader addon it looks terrible. I like dawn and dusk. They are not perfect but there close enough. With TrueSky it is the best looking and most immersive sim to date by far.😁 HDR=On (1.24/0.22/0.88) The clouds are are awesome too. We definitely need ASP3D for real weather but I doubt if I will ever be interested in any visual enhancement software or cloud texture software.
