(The only way to get around it was to use a cracked fs9.exe). Isn't that funny? Wait, so all the FS9 guys I have seen posting on Avsim since 2012 have been "EULA-busters", simming with cracked software?!? Gazooks! I...I am not quite sure what to say. Do I report all of them who have posted since 2012, or only those still flying the sim now? 🙂 Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. July 21, 20205 yr For all of you comparing this to PS4/XBOX discs: Those act as directly transferable licenses. You can sell, share and trade them and whoever puts the disc in the console instantly has access to the game, independent of the consoles user account. There it is a trade-off between that and the convenience of a digital purchase you can access without physical media. As the Boxed FS still contains a serial and needs to be activated with a MS account I do not think this will be easily possible here, you get the downside of both options with none of the benefits. Windows 11 Pro - Ryzen 3 5900X - nVidia RTX 4090 - 32GB DDR4-3600 === Microsoft Flight Simulator

I wasn't comparing it directly, I was commenting on the fact we are in 2020 and people thought it was old that it's still required.

They aren't confident enough to just release all digital though for one good reason. Yes, reason being not the whole world has super fast download speeds, and some people still prefer physical, whether to hold, collect or resell later...

July 22, 20205 yr I remember when they said DVD`s unbreakable will last forever, one small scratch and it`s toast. And now they fill the land fill sites, that`s why the industry want`s to move away from them. Edited July 22, 20205 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.

July 22, 20205 yr Rebirth of a legend It is with great pride that we can announce that Microsoft has chosen Aerosoft as its retail publishing partner for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator . Aerosoft will bring the two boxed versions of this venerable simulator to customers in Europe. Including 10 (!) double-layer DVD’s and a printed manual in a spectacular box, it is an ideal way of entering the new age of flight simulation. For the last few months, we have been working closely with the spirited team from Microsoft and the talented developers at Asobo. They have helped us in getting our add-ons ready for the new simulation platform and in a very small way our 27 years of experience assisted in creating this amazing simulator. We should be able to start shipping the boxes at or around August 21st. The official announcement from Microsoft is here. So no you cannot jump the start date. 14 1 Edited July 22, 20205 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.

Yesterday you stated it won’t ship till the 28th of August and when questioned, you linked to the Aerosoft page where you can buy the game which said no such thing about the 28th. When questioned again, you just ignored me. Today, you are now saying the 21st of August, but won't link to where it states that. If you had read just page 1 of that forum properly, you will see that the 21st was the original date as can be seen from a screenshot some forum member had took from the Aerosoft store. The same store now states the 18th of August. While I'm not a moderator on here and can't tell people what to do, please can you make sure you are posting correct information so not to confuse matters. It's not the first time you have done this. The date that was originally put on the forum, the 21st of August, someone has screenshot the page where you buy the game from, which stated the 21st of August. If you visit that same page now (you've already linked to it in the other thread) it states 18th of August. No where does it state that the 18th is specifically for the download version, it specifically says the 18th on the retail box version. Where you pulled 28th of August from is anyones guess. July 23, 20205 yr https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/154700-aerosoft-official-retail-partner-for-microsoft-flight-simulator/ Read it yourself they should be able to start shipping on the 21st for boxed version note the word "should ", and i suspect depending on how many want a disc version how soon they sell out so i would get in right away. I am not bothered about the disc version i have thrown loads CD`S and DVD`s away over the years and the industry is trying to get away from them, some have stopped making DVD players.
