Where?

G-RFRY is being snarky, he is making a joke about the acronym FS2020 referring to the Aerosoft Flight Simulator 2020, not the new Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A minority of forum members get triggered when people use the term FS2020 to refer to the new MFS.  You can stop looking on the link he provided for anything related to MFS, it isn't there, and I apologize for the Avsim community if his unhelpful joke confused you.

I understand that updates ARE free but I am talking about the initial cost of the program and where to purchase it from as Amazon say they will reduce if other sights are cheaper?  thoughts

Post proof!

Unlike some major brick-and-mortar retailers, Amazon does not "price match" on the items it sells. Amazon formerly offered price-protection guarantees, refunding the difference between the price paid and a new, lower rate if the price dropped, but it ended this service in 2016

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Just copied this from the UK Amazon web page:

Pre-order Price Guarantee: order now and if the Amazon.co.uk price decreases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lowest price.

Is that not good???

No they didn't. I just got £5 back on a book I bought, last week, as it dropped in price. 🙂

Finding different explanations at different sites.  Did you have to ask for the refund?

f you can find an item cheaper somewhere else, Amazon won’t match that price. What Amazon artfully neglects to add is that if you can find that item cheaper on Amazon up to 30 days after your purchase, Amazon will, in effect, match its new, lowered price by refunding you the difference. But you have to ask

Oh shucks, I constantly forget that Aerofly and Aeorsoft are two different companies!

You can install it on multiple machines, including XBox X at the same time, but you can only run the program on one at a time.

Thanks for this info, I was wondering about this too. Its likely I will build a new machine and have to transfer FS2020 to the new one.

It is true, it's how games work.

Not necessarily.

The version available on different platforms isn’t guaranteed to be updated at the same time.

Chuck gave the example of DLC (a very common situation with flightsim addons), but can also apply to the core sim eg DCS from their website versus Steam.

The safest option is to buy from Microsoft.
