July 21, 20205 yr I was wondering if i could install FS2020 the 18th of august on my old pc, and then later around christmas, buy a brand new monster-pc, deinstall from my old pc and install it on this new pc? Is there any activation needed before using it? This is because you are going to the source and, all things being equal, when updates come, the first place they appear is at the source, so if buying from any other source in any way makes things dependent on patches etc filtering down to other sources, there is always the chance that this might be subject to a delay, whereas that would presumably never be the case when you went direct to the publisher and your support came directly from that source. It doesn’t work like that. If buying MFS from anywhere other than Microsoft, you're still getting the same game. If an update comes out and you bought it from CDkeys, it's still the same game and you'll get the update at the same time.

I'm sure you are probably correct, but since the game is not even out yet, you cannot know if this is the case for certain. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Games don't work like that. Let's say you buy a Samsung phone from EE. That Samsung phone gets updated both by Samsung and EE. If the phone is unlocked, Samsung will update it, if it's locked to EE (this information might be slightly out of date as I'm not sure phones can be locked to a network these days) then Samsung send the update to EE who then add their own firmware which gets sent back to Samsung who then send out the update. If you buy MFS from Microsoft, Game, CDkeys, Asda, Tesco or anywhere else, it's all the same game and will get updated at the same time from Microsoft.

You've clearly never bought, for example, a FlySimWare aeroplane from Just Flight's store, then found that the latest updated version took two days to get uploaded to your account there when it was up sooner on the FlySimWare site for people who bought it directly from the publisher/developer, if you don't know what I'm referring to. That's not a game but DLC or equivalent. The game itself if updated is updated by Microsoft. If you buy MFS from Game, its not going to take longer to get updates, it's the same piece of software.

July 22, 20205 yr Where's the OP ? Disappeared ? lol Well, if you have a pretty high speed internet don't bother with CDs... they can get lost, scratch, and will take a lot of space in your house.

July 24, 20205 yr Author Ok so I understand what people are saying about updates and who to buy from.....so it does not matter who you buy from you get same updates HOWEVER would prices be the same...AMAZON say they would be the cheapest as they will drop their price to the lowest if others were more expensive.....thoughts???
