It uses simconnect afaik, and nothing that uses simconnect is great at the moment. Something wrong with the release client and simconnect making the sim sutter and loosing a lot of frames. Navigraph, vpilot (vatsim), and spad.next are among the victims.

Andreas,

Did you actually try running Navigraph Simlink, today’s build? It utilizes Simconnect but we don’t see any performance loss and nobody in our forum has reported any performance hits with MSFS 2020.

Stephen / Navigraph

Well, I tried it this morning, but it didnt seem to work. Later I found out about the simconnect issue with spad.next and vpilot so I just killed the simlink app. I can try again in a moment.

Man I thought this was gonna be a feature included in MSFS. I'm not willing to pay a monthly sub for charts. Ill look for freeware options even if they are outdated.

Oh, I'm not knocking those who do. I just misinterpreted about it being included with msfs. I have a few things I sub to and dont have the extra cash to spend on charts.

Yeah, I too was wondering what exactly navblue was providing. Now it's clear they aren't providing charts, and that part is pretty important too. Navigraph isn't that expensive if I remember correctly, but of course - everything adds up. This hobby will gladly take your wallet any day of the week 🙂

Question, if navblue isn't providing charts then what are they providing? Or is it just not implemented yet?

They are providing the nav aids, sids, stars and airways. The thing that your busses and boeings and garmins are following.

Stephan:

Thank you for the information on the updated simlink as it is working perfectly on my primary computer, the one running MSFS 2020. Is there a setting or configuration change I can make to have simlink and charts run on my secondary PC?

The charts thing is additional from NavBlue.  Navigraph is a separate entity.  I think if Navigraph charts work why even go with the other company
