Losing my mind trying to fix stuttering, boys

It's not , minimum is a 570, 480 is a lot better than it. Recommended is a 970 , of which the 480 is comparable too. Acting like I'm trying to run this at 4k bossman. 1080 medium - high and it's smooth fps wise , indicating the gpu is just fine.

Running wireless?  Try using a hard RJ-45 network cable direct to your router/gateway.

This recently helped a friend of mine when hosting a critical Zoom meeting.

Using a wired connection but cheers for the reply anyway boss

Hello boys,

I have an ok pc with a i7 7700k (HT on, no OC), rx 480 8gb and 16gb ram. No matter what settings I have, even every slider to the left, I get a constant stutter every couuple seconds for one second or so. It makes it really hard to enjoy the sim. I have tried everything I can think of , updated drivers, turned off all online settings and rolling cache , no vsync, game mode on/off, making a manual cache and flying in that region etc I'm on the latest windows and drivers.

God Bless folks

I fixed mine by playing in windowed mode not full screen.  I'm smooth as now.

Plus make sure you set your RAM speeds to what matches your CPU.  I have a i5-9600k so the recommended RAM speed is 2666mhz so I overclocked my ram to that too.

Also if you're using wifi to play plug your computer to your modem using a cable.

I'm playing at High settings at 1440p and the only thing I changed was changing trees/grass to medium.

Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.

Install on a ssd

ok boys , installing on an ssd didn't fix it unfortunately , I notice it gets a lot worse when I look out the window at the scenery, but when I turn off online setttings/ rolling cache it is still there 😞

Already tried 😞 , It's so weird because even at the absoluute lowest settings I'll have 60+fps buut still this consistent pause every 2 seconds or so . Bout to give up seems I've tried everything, hopefully a patch helps

One more thought...the VFR map is rendering even when not displayed. It can be disabled. See this thread:

Are you absolutely sure you don’t have any external software that might be trying to communicate with MSFS via simconnect? Moving map, ACARS client, LittleNavMap etc? There is a bug in simconnect in the release version of MSFS that produces exactly the symptom you are seeing - a regular stutter that occurs about every two seconds, and which is present no matter how the graphics settings are adjusted. In particular, do you have any simconnect-enabled software that you may use with FSX or P3D that might load when you start your computer and run in the background.

idk even know what simconnect is so pretty sure it's not the culprit 😞

Yep sorry unfortunately it didn't work 😞

I am also having a lot of problems with stuttering.  I was using simconnect for FSUIPC and GSX in P3DV4.5.  If I'm not running P3DV4.5, could simconnect still be running and affecting MSFS 2020?  If it is, can someone please let me know what I need to do to stop it?

Thanks.
