"Press any key"???

Featured Replies

I am stuck at the "Press any key" looks like the sim is about to start up, but the it "falls back" to the "Press any key" page, I have tried many times now, restarted my PC etc, but no luck. And this ocurred today, I have flewn since day one with no problem getting started, what could be the problem?

Any tips?

Best regards

Per

I have two monitors, and if I've been using the 2nd monitor the "Press Any Key" doesn't work. If I move the mouse over to the main monitor it works again. But you've probably thought about this.

Yes, I have used the mouse to start the game before, and it worked flawlessly until just an hour ago. Looks for a moment that everything is going well, the startup is fine until I reach "press any key" screen, and then all of a sudden, I am back to the "press any key" screen again. First time this happends. I can see thet little "wheel" spinning around in the bottom right corner, but thats all, then I am back again to "press any key"

What to do?

Not enough information: Where did you buy / install  MSFS 2020. What does Event Viewer say ?

I am stuck on checking for updates. Something is broken.

I had some issues with this initially where the only key that would work to start the sim was the right mouse button. Somehow, it seems to have resolved itself. Go figure.

I have bought it from Microsoft Store, and installed it in its default folder (where ever that is located?...)

But everything worked perfectly until 2 hours ago... Thats so strange. Have not having problems and getting "stuck" before...

the issue is that you need to be logged in on your xbox account on the xbox app before you start up the game

Dear Friends, I have still no luck. I am loggen in to both Microsoft store and X-box app, still just stuck at "press any key" Any other tips/tricks or hints to come over this? I want to fly!

Have you checked for any windows updates that need applied? also go into microsoft store and apply any updates there.

Then restart.

This fixed that issue for me.
