Here's a picture of the Hurricane from the MSFS Discord, credit to user 'chris.'

Yep, that looks similar to what I saw about 10 hours ago, minus the eye, that hadn't developed yet.

Living in the mountains does have it's benefits. These things are truly terrifying!

We've just had Francis. Couldn't get up.

Alright, just got off from Houston Executive, that should be the outer rainbands right there. unknown.png

It's better on my third trip, but doesn't look anything like how clouds look generally in a hurricane. Also, could not find any rain yet, did get icing when I went too high.

Looks quite impressive to me, though. Weather radar seems to agree. 😄

It's ok, no lightning, no rain, minimal turbulence, too many broken level low layer clouds that are almost flat.

Yearh... I've got no rain. A lot of clouds, but 3 kts winds 😕 No turbulence or anything else...

On a side note: How do you people switch servers?!

🙂

hn87NB0.pngNo wind for me either, yet. That definitely seems to be missing still.

Wow! Thanks... so simple.

Amazing.

🙂

the sim is getting wind information, it shows up on the menu screen if you change the filter's to wind, but it just doesn't work once you're in flight. 🤷‍♂️

Wind also seem to work fine in Europe in an actual flight. It just seems to be the rest of the world having issues.

It seems to work some times, though. When I last flew in 11 hours ago or so, I had upper winds when I was inside the storm itself.

Indeed the wind seems to work on the map. But in lfight, the aircraft just reads 2-3 kts.
But the weird thing is, that the water and the waves seem to pick up the wind information. The airplane just seems to 'ignore' it, somehow...

🙂

Flying low to look for waves and eye wall, haven't found eye wall yet. This hurricane has a huge eye wall on sats.
