World map in full screen shuts down my pc

Featured Replies

Absolutely no idea what's going on here... it was fine a couple of days ago. Maybe a windows update?

As soon as I click world map my pc shuts down and reboots. I can click marketplace, news or any other button. It only happens when clicking world map in full screen.

I have no overclocking. No temp issues. Run stresstests for GPU and CPU no issues. Also no issues in other games like P3D or what ever game I tried.

Anyone with the same issue?

*bump* 😭

To me this sounds like a bad PSU dropping voltage when the GPU requires extra juice....

This sounds likely.  You can tell by the smell of the power supply if it is bad.  If it smells burned, replace it.  I've had to do this a few times in the past.

What type of monitor are you using atm ? Also what does your Event Viewer log say ? Maybe a Ram issue ?

I never heard about softwares making the PC shutdown. Seems to be a hardware/driver issue, most probably a faulty/insufficient hardware, like the PSU not being able to provide enough power to a component.

If it was something related to the software itself, it would probably just CTD.

4K Samsung monitor. Eventviewer only tells me that there was a power loss. Could be a RAM issue still investigating. Also the PSU could be the culprit.

Strange thing is it only happens in MSFS and only when clicking world map

MSFS 2020 sucking the life out of computer since Aug 18.

Yeah man also go through that mega post on the forums , you will need to pick through the weeds but a few of them have solved their CTS issues. If what you have is not PSU issue.

Almost certain its the PSU. The GPU wants juice when you click the world map and the PSU dies.

try vsync on at 30 fps?
