I have assigned zoom in/out to use the mouse wheel in combination with the thumb button on the mouse. Works ok, but takes a little adjusting.

Genius! That’s taken some of the arseache of using TrackIR away!

How did you do that? I tried but the sim didn’t take such combination. I only allowed mento assign preexisted combinations stored in settings.

Clear the previous setting, then put your pointer in the 'scan setting' window, press the button first and then scroll the mouse wheel. You don't have to do both at exactly the same time if you keep your mouse pointer in the window.

This is what my mouse wheel zoom looks like. It takes a little effort to hold the wheel down and zoom, but that makes sure that zooming is what you want to do.

I find it easiest to set up by lifting the mouse up off the desk while the pointer is in the scan window. Then left click it to select the scan window. Press down the mouse wheel button and while pressing down scroll in the direction you want. Then let go of everything and hit the left mouse button again to be able to validate the setting.

Now the mouse wheel by itself can control the knobs. The mouse wheel when it's pushed down and rotated can control the zoom.

I posted this in another thread but thought it belonged here too.
