Disabling Mouse Scroll Zoom?

Featured Replies

Is there a way to disable zooming with the scroll wheel of your mouse? More often than not I find myself zooming in and out while trying to manipulate a knob or button.

Go to your mouse settings, edit by input, and actuate mouse in one direction at a time, you will see the assignments, then clear them.

So were you able to disable it using the suggestion?

I was unable to find such setting in W10. Mind to share more details?

Thanks

I'm not at my computer but there is a setting - I believe it is MOUSE ZOOM or possibly just ZOOM -  If you switch it to MANUAL from AUTO it will not zoom with the scroll wheel

edit - it's ZOOM TYPE

I have assigned zoom in/out to use the mouse wheel in combination with the thumb button on the mouse. Works ok, but takes a little adjusting.

Go to options then controllers then mouse. Notice that there are a few zooms that are assigned to scroll wheel. I cleared only the two that are assigned to VC. I like to still zoom in in external view.

Also I assigned the . and , keys for zoom in and out.

I tried to do this but could not get it to work.  On the Mouse setup in game, I could only select either the thumb botton OR the mouse wheel, but not the combination of both.  How do you do this??

It worked here. Press the thumb button and move the mouse wheel up or down at the same time.

This is what I did:

1. Go to Mouse control

2. Find Unzoom Cockpit View and click to select it

3. Clear current input

4. Press and hold thumb button and then scroll mouse. Make sure you are not moving the mouse while doing this or it will register a different axis.

Do the same for Zoom Cockpit view (but scroll the wheel in the opposite direction of course).
