Well, I guess when you run out of ideas to post content, you make a video on the Godzilla mod for Flight Simulator

https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator/mods/143?tab=description

Oh no, it's SIMZILLA!

You know, it comes hurtling out of the water with no notice and surprises the heck out of everyone, then people jump up and down pointing at it while it ever so slowly approaches from off in the distance.  Some run away screaming, and others form a new religion around it even before it arrives.  Then it clumsily tromps into town and makes a huge mess out of things, and when all is said and done it ultimately disappears back into the water leaving everyone to wonder what happened while they clean up in the aftermath.

Someone should make a movie!

I've never seen anything so ridiculous in all my life. Just look at all of those horrible smudge marks on the plane's side window

That's from the occupants screaming, bug-eyed, as he looks in on them..

IMO anything capable of surviving a nuclear torpedo to the snout is a worthy addition to any simulator!

I have to be honest here, and say that those smudge marks would annoy the hell out of me if they could not be removed. It sounds daft, but stuff like that can stop me from buying a product.

Would those finger smudges be a thing in real life from people haphazardly opening the canopy I wonder? Certainly, if it was my aircraft then I'd be having words with anyone who did that

I've not noticed these smudges, so I will take note next time I fire the sim up. It's a bit like the scratches and things some ac's have, which might be realistic, but I rather have a perfectly unobstructed view, given the option, same with heavy tinted glass. As for Godzilla, I've seen lots of sniffy comments from the stuffy 'hard core' but, I can't see the problem 🤨 It's just a bit of fun*

For what it is worth, as one who is very familiar with acrylic canopies, if the marks are meant to represent finger smudge marks, they would not be visible looking through the canopy at that angle. Some time ago, I had to change where I was placing my headset on the dash. A metal edge on the headset band was slightly scratching the inside of the canopy. The scratches are not visible when flying and are only visible when I am cleaning the canopy and viewing the area at a sharp angle in strong light.

They look more like the kind of thing you might get from some annoying brat in the back of your car eating an ice cream messily and then pawing your windows. Any pilot worth his or her salt would have wiped something like that off the windows when doing the walkaround, because cockpit window condition is one always of the things you check on a walkaround, so if the walkaround has been done correctly, they would not be there because pretty much everyone keeps a cloth or some wipes in the door pocket, for that exact purpose.

Back with Godzilla, if MS made that Godzilla scenery default, I could see why people might complain, but since it actually requires you to download it and install it, I don't see why people have an issue with it. If you don't like it, don't install it.

There is an opportunity for a new sim here, especially in these Covid times. Cleaning Simulator 2020 the Special Edition comes with bleach and a fancy brush.

It's been done before; it was a feature on the Aerosoft Dimona, enabling you to wipe bugs off the windscreen.

Bugger! that's my hopes of becoming a millionaire down the drain 😂  Although I could still do a standalone package.

Sorry Novation. Hate to break it to you, but you might have a LOT to live up to:

I am waiting for the day when a hardcore study level simulator pilot posts a video on YouTube of his/her final approach to runway 29 at Oakland International in the PMDG 737 NG3, with the Bay Bridge, San Francisco skyline, and Godzilla in the background
