Axis and ohs with midi controllers

Featured Replies

Hi

After reading through some of the post on your forum, one from user  Turk10mm intrigued me. He appears to be using a midi controller, Behringer X-Touch Mini, as a controller in MSFS 2020. Does Axis and Ohs support midi controllers out of the box so to speak as this unit appears perfect to set up as an autopilot?

cheers

I may be spending some money,

At present there are a few oddities with the events (see the other thread). If you run into this, just send me a message here with your order number (or an email) and you can have my current devel version where those bugs have been fixed. The retail version will be updated after the next release of MSFS, which is supposed to take another 10 days.

Best regards

I have aquired the Xtouch and tried the Demo version and since I can see it will work I went ahead and purchased the Payware version. I installed it over the demo but do I need to do anything else?

Also, how do you get the updated version as I guess the current one still doesn't have the changes?

Hi,

you don't have to do anything else. The next version 1.70 is complete and is being tested. When it is released, it will show up in your account on SimMarket - and they usually send you an email that the update is available.

If you want, send me a message here in the forum with your proof of purchase (order number) and you can have the 1.70 now - the more people try it, the better.

Hi Oliver,

just an update to say I bought the X touch and your software and it’s working fantastically well as an autopilot controller, so much better being able to physically turn knobs to set altitude and speeds etc. I’m also in the process of moving my assignments over from the sim to axis and ohs  so thanks once again for this great program.

cheers

I also got the X-TOUCH Mini. It's wonderful! This is my project so far, not final yet. And also due to the SDK not fully functional yet (FMS Buttons).

So Cool 😎

Would it be possible to use AxisAndOhs only for midi devices, not for axes? I am using FSUIPC for some custom cockpit panels. I might be able to remove the axes assignments in FSUIPC, but not disable it. Would that work as well?

Thanks,

Peter

Yes this works perfectly. I've got FSUIPC and AxisAndOhs both running at the same time. Just don't assign the axes in AxisandOhs 😉

Hi,

If I may - you should consider adding a button for the 25/8.333 KHz spacing switch. On my computer, MSFS seems to be set to 8.333 spacing by default, which makes for a lot of turning those encoders...

Best regards

This is awesome.

Is there a library for sharing the templates X-Touch mini templates for the app, for the controller firmware as well as these beauties printed out?
